There absolutly MUST be a second Podcast cruise and I WILL be on it!!

We are in too... even if DH does not want to go I will take DD and my mom or my Best friend. Heck I will go alone if that is what it takes!!

Can it please be a time when the educators can go? I am so sad that I can't go on this one!!

The only issue with this plan is that this is when the prices are at their highest.

If the kids (and therefore the teachers) are out of school, the price skyrockets.

In addition to the higher prices....availability decreases and the ship is much more crowded making it difficult to use public spaces for podcast activities.

It's very difficult to pick the "perfect" time.

Kevin- I completely understand this dilemma! How about over a long weekend sometime where I may only have to take one day?? I bet I can talk my Super into that!
:yay::yay:

Who says we HAVEN'T started planning the next one :rolleyes1

I figure you must have, if only because this one is just a month away now, and after it's over you guys'll have nothing to tease us about! :lmao:

Would love to go on the 2nd one but we have some other trips to save for first. Won't stop me from trying, though. ;)

Nope, they'll have the December event to taunt. Not to mention the DL event around Labor Day.

They'll always find something!

Too late for me to arrange to go on this year's podcast cruise. But I'd be thrilled to go on the next one.

I will start saving for it now.

With the Dis gang, no one is really a solo traveller. But I will be looking for someone to share a low priced room with. I am looking for fun activities and to not be in the stateroom except to sleep.

Another educator here lobbying for a more convenient time to travel. It can be during the school year, just not in May with 2 wks to go before the end of the year. You have to have a bad case of DEAD to get time off in May in my school district, even though all it is is field trips, talent shows, and celebrations.

Although summer wouldn't be bad, either. As a teacher, I'm used to paying the higher prices for travel, anyway......

I skip all segments about the cruise in the podcasts, b/c I'm so freakin' jealous of the people who will be there. I don't WANT to know about the cool stuff they're doing. It makes me sad. :guilty:

Hey Simon, Tell your parents all us Diser's will "home school" you while you're on board....though the quality of that education might be in question :rolleyes1

It was cool to hear you on the call in show!

Good idea! Watching adults drink and looking for grammatical errors in their speech might substitute for an English class or two LOL

Don't worry, Simon! If it is scheduled around a time when us teachers can go, I'll make sure you get your homework done! WDW dining qualifies for math content, right? ;)

:lmao: I'll work on my homework during the plane ride and in the stateroom at night... if we're ever there.

Great ideas!!

I would love to do a cruise next year. When I first heard about this cruise, I was interested. But I didn't think I could talk my husband into it and since I was a new to the podcast and wasn't a poster on the boards I thought I might feel out of place. But I would go next time.

Also a schoolteacher here, and I also hope Podcast Cruise 2 fits my vacation schedule!

I will be on the next podcast cruise. (DM I am going without you, :P)

I am a single gal looking for a roomie (I actually like the fold out sofa, even slept on it when I cruised solo:upsidedow), who can provide several DISer references that I make a wonderful cruise mate. And one of the them is even a Podcast fan who ditched us and went to the very first podcast meet at Mousefest a couple of years ago :rotfl:.

Reading this thread makes me laugh. My husband and I signed up yesterday for the cruise. Tracy made it easy - thank you Tracy for your quick replies to my questions.

My Disney loving husband sat me down and explained that this was a once in a lifetime experience and that we just had to sign up because this would the absolute best cruise because it was the first. When I said Oh honey - there will be another podcast cruise he told me OH NO - they plan different types of events each year. So there you have it. Once again the Disney husband convinces the me to live up to my name -- the Disney Enabler. Last year he used the once in a lifetime experience for us to go on the Westbound Panama Canal trip. It was an awesome trip!

So to all of you out there who are on the fence thinking you should wait for the next cruise -- There is still time to sign up -- if I were you I wouldn't wait. Tracy is standing by waiting to make your reservation. As my husband has convinced me how lucky are we to fill our lives with once in a lifetime experiences.

I look forward to meeting all on the cruise.

Welcome to the DIS!!! Don't be a stranger - you'll find many of us will become your closest friends on the cruise. Don't forget to post on the actual cruise thread

I vote for the same week, next year. I will be turning f-f-f-f-forty :scared1: on May 8, 2010 and can't think of a better way to celebrate!!

HAHA, I was telling my hub that next year I am going. He got a very strange eelook on his face and then reminded me that next June is our 25th anniversary and he had tossed a few ideas around, separate vacations wasn't one of them.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::confused3:confused3:confused3

Disney Enabler - congrats for signing up!!! I am very jealous!!!

I too am having to miss this year. We are always in FL and WDW the 1st 2 weeks of May and the timing of the cruise this year would have otherwise been perfect for us....However, this year we are heading to an all-inclusive non-Disney trip with 12 others to celebrate my parents' 40th Anniversary.

That said, I am all over the next podcast cruise....just give us all plenty of lead time and I will move mountains to be there!:goodvibes

So just talked to DBF/DF (whatever you wanna call him lol) about this and this is exactly what he had to say...

"So let me get this straight...next year you want to go on a Disney cruise, buy a house, have a wedding, AND go on a Disneyworld honeymoon........did you win the lottery or something and not tell me????"

And in my head I'm thinking details, darling, details :rolleyes1

So now I'm choosing between a wedding and podcast cruise.....hmmmmmmm lol! jk (I think! ;))
