There’s an app for Disney World tickets; will going paperless work?

If you enter one park in the morning, and your battery runs out in the afternoon, it'll pretty much kill your park-hopping, though...

I love that the article talks about buying backup batteries, lol. If this were only for the iPhone, there's not a whole lot of value in backup batteries since you can't replace the battery yourself, unless you are willing to use a bulky external battery.

It would be great if you could reserve your FP from a smart phone and scan it as you walk up to the FP entry. That would definitely save a lot of mad dashes across the park for me.

Can you imagine the backups at entrance and FP machines since someone will manually have to scan thier iphone? Then there will always be those one or two that wait till they get to the turnstiles before they dig thier iphone out of thier purse then realize the batter is dead and start arguing that they have tickets. So instead of popping the ticket into the machine and breezing thru, this seems like it will take alot longer.
