Theory ROL brings Tiered FP+ to AK

DHS and Epcot have tiered FP+ due to the limited # of rides and the hot commodity of certain FP over others.

If AK has FP+ for ROL it will be the hot ticket for some time. I could see them tiering in this case.

Perhaps Tier One:
ROL
Safari
EE

Tier Two
The rest.

Not sure if Kali would be a one or 2

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see viewing areas they are building (the areas that look like seating or standing room, like WOC at DCA ) end up being dining package only. Those areas just look very small for any kind of general public viewing..Any standby viewing could then be offered at the same day fp kiosks, or over the app (only via the app if they enable the GPS option so you have to be in AK to pull that fp).

I don't know that they will tier, at least not right away. I hope they don't anyway. The tiered parks are enough of a pain already. They don't need to add AK to that.

according to the mid level CM (a friend of ours) that we talked to (so rumor!!) - they are planning on doing 3 shows per night - original show length was 28 minutes but they are trimming it to 22 minutes to get 3 shows in. The stands are supposed to hold 5000 people but according to our CM friend they are tiny people not "real" people - estimates are 3500 real people could sit in them - per show. Again rumor until published but that's the info and I personally believe it to be fact based on our friend. I don't know if AK has enough attractions to really Tier but then again IMO neither does Epcot!

I doubt it. Tiering comes as a result of limited "combined most desired" rides which does not exist at the AK. So I think it'll remain untiered.

In either case... Tiered or not, the SAME people will get ROL... those are, the people who stay onsite and book at 60 days. This is fine, because they are allocating their hot ticket attractions to onsite stays.

Safari and EE currently do not have capacity issues, as pretty much every guest can already book both of those, and it's not a problem. If they book both of those plus ROL, there is no reason to think they will all of a sudden now be over capacity. At DHS, if you did not have tiering, most guests would book both RNR and TSMM, which would leave half of the guests with neither of those, which is not acceptable. This problem does not exist at the AK since guests can freely book both the Safari and EE and there is ample supply to go around. Adding another even hotter show to the mix just adds more capacity (tho not very much).

I highly doubt AK will be tiered. AK does not have a problem with advance FP bookings taking all the spots. I booked FPs the night before during the week before Christmas and there was not limited availability. ROL is only going to add to the numbers if they go the FP route.
