hahahahaha, totally OT but when in WDW in May I kept saying to fiance "DISers say this, DISers do that" and he was like what is a DISer, and I told him. And he was like OMG there is actually a name for you people! HAHA
and then while on our trip we played "spot the DISer". When eating our breakfast 1 morning he was like "over there a DISer" and the man had his binder out and stuff. And I was thinking to myself...hmm wonder what his spreadsheet looks like.

My DH calls you guys my "peeps". When we are in Disney he says "What would/do your peeps say about this?". I also thought I saw some fellow Dis'ers (especially in the bright lime green) but never met a confirmed Diser in Disney.

Hopefully we get a good deal, I would like to head back in 2010!

Does the Travel Channel really have that much pull w/ Disney?

The Travel Channel is an ABC network. It isn't a question of the channel having pull with Disney but rather of Disney having a stake in the ownership of the channel, hence the massive amount of Disney programming compared to other family-oriented theme park destinations.

I just got off the phone with Disney. My trip is scheduled for mid-Oct., I asked if there were any further discounts available because I was interested in upgrading from mod to deluxe. She said that the free dining was the best offer and she didn't any anticipate any further for that time period. If there were any new offers, it would be for a later timeframe.

Do you guys think that Disney would leak a rumor of a big deal then monitor activity on their site to see what the anticipation level for the "deal" is to decide whether or not to offer a big deal? Am I being a conspiracy theorist?
