Just a quick update on this nightmare!
Received my letter from ABTA today saying that because I paid by credit card, ABTA are not able to deal with my claim, but my credit card would refund me.
So I called Barclaycard (again!!) Remember they told me that they wouldnt cover attraction tickets? Well I quoted them the script from the ABTA letter and they now say that they will look into it!! But they said "its not at all a quick process". They are going to send me a claim form today.
My other problem is that I actually ordered from Theme Park Land twice. The second order was paid for by my bank debit card (as it was a price-match-promise and Theme Park Land said if I paid by credit card they would charge me 1%). My bank wont cover this amount of £240. So I've had to call ABTA again, who sound very confused that Ive ordered twice. They say "someone will phone me back".
We'll see. Ho-Hum. C'est la vie!!
And then I see that Virgin Travelstore are closing!!!
I'm really considering the
www.onlineflorida.co.uk one now. They are cheap, and ABTA bonded (although what difference does this make!!).
I cant wait to post a thread saying IVE GOT MY TICKETS!!!
