Themed bedrooms - insp. by boys bedrooms

don't know that i would actualy do this-but i "threatened" ds with it the other nite. i'm sick of all the yugio and pokemom trading cards all over the place, but he complains that he wants to look at them "all the time", so i said i might as well cover his walls with the pages that hold 16-20 cards each and just insert his cards so he can have all his cards visable at the same time. if i could pull it off without too many holes in the wall it might look pretty cool-and when he moves on to another type of playing card we could just change them out!

we've promised both kids that when we move to our next home (hopefully in the next 6 months) we will work with them on realy personalizing their bedrooms. i am more inclined to use bedding and a few pictures to create a theme vs. paint and themed beds-i recall my parents surpising me when i was around 10 with a pink bedroom, pink (shag) carpet and a canopy bedroom set. i loved it-for about 2 years, but since the style of the bedroom set and carpet pretty much dictated feminine/frilly there was'nt much i could do about it. we have a white iron (ornate style) daybed in the garage, so i figure if dd wants it fem/frill she can use that-when she decides to move on to something else it can be stored and we'll just get her a more middle of the road bed (like her brother has).

Go to Home Depot or other store and get the Velcro that sticks to the wall and is removable .

If you look at my DD room in my Sig none of the frames have nails or holes in the walls .They are all held up with the removable velcro. You could put his cards up allowing him to take them down and view and just stick them back up with no damage at all.

I'm still working on my daughters' room. It is a princess room of course. DD6 loves Cinderella while DD3 loves SnoWhite - (she pronounces it like one word!)
We put them in the room over the garage and painted the walls Bibbity-Bobbity-Blue. My best friend's DIL is very artistic and on the wall going up stairs, she is painting Cinderella's castle. At the top of the stairs is her carriage. The room has 2 dormer windows, so it has 3 slanted walls/ceilings if that makes sense. On the 1st wall you see going up the steps, I'm painting, "Once Upon a Time...", on the 2nd wall, it says, "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" and the 3rd one says "Some Day My Prince Will Come." The on the wall that you see when coming down the stairs, it says, "And They Lived Happily Ever After." I got a print of Cinderella and SnoWhite at Disney and had Cinderella autograph hers to Princess Lauren and SnoWhite autograph hers to Princess Ashley. I don't know how to post picture but I'll see if DH can help me post what we've done so far. Oh, and the castle even has a hidden Mickey!
Oh if you can figure out how to post, please do. Your room sounds so precious. I would love to do something like that for DD's toyroom.
