Well 6 of us will be heading to California February 21 for a week. I have 4 days at Disney, 2 days Universal and 1 day Knotts Berry Farm planned. Now we arrive on a Tuesday, so i figure we just head on over to DL on our first day to cause less hassle. Now as for the rest of the days i was lookin for help from everyone on suggestions of when to visit all these parks, since i don't know which days are busier than others for each park. I'll let ya know what i was thinking and then if anyone else would like to through some ideas at me, let me know!

I was thinking;
21(Presidents day)- DL &DCA
22(Wed)- DL & DCA
23(Thurs)- Universal Studios + rental car
24(Fri)- Universal Studios + rental car
25(Sat)- Knotts Berry Farm
26(Sun)- DL & DCA
27(Mon)- Early Entry DL & DCA

Now from the 21st to the 26 we'll be staying at the Residence Inn on Harbor Blvd and then the 26th to 27th i was thinkin we stay at the Disneyland Hotel or Disney Paradise Pier's for one night to experience the onsite there. How does that sound?? I just don't know what days are busier, i'd like to be at DL on the slower days obviously~ So some helpful insight would be great! :earsboy:

Knott's is usually not all that busy..............it is ghetto Disneyland.
Great roller coaster's but bad foo and not very clean. Your plan's sound great to me. Are you staying at the Residence Inn resort area ? That's where we stayed in October and it was fantastic!

I dont think you need two days to see Universal Studios....we were there in the summer and were able to see just about everything by 6 o'clock.

I disagree about the food at Knott's. I think it is very good--especially Mrs. Knott's restaurant. There's an outdoor bbq place in Ghost Town that's good and a Friday's right across the way where some of the shops used to be. And I never thought it was dirty. I'd take Knott's over Universal any day.

That's quite an ambitious agenda. I think I'd agree with the suggestion to only spend 1 day at Universal. I like it, but not 2 days worth. I haven't been to Knott's since my family moved out of SoCal back in '76. (Wow, am I that old?) Back then I thought of it as, well, not ghetto, but more of a poor man's DL. If I was to spend a day at another SoCal amusement park, I'd choose Magic Mountain. Trouble with that is while KBF is very close to DL, MM is quite a ways north of LA. I'd guess about 2 hours from DL.

Magic Mountain is about an hour and a half away, not too bad. Depends on the ages of your kids, but if they're tall enough for those big rides I'd HIGHLY recommend it over KBF. I also agree that one day at Universal is plenty. I've never done more than one day and never missed out on anything. I think you'll love staying at the Disneyland Hotel, but won't notice really being more "onsite" than some of the other offsite hotels. Regardless, there's still the feeling KNOWING you're in the DL hotel that makes it fun :D Enjoy your trip, we'll be leaving right as you're arriving!
