Has anyone ever stayed in the Theme Park view in the GF? Is it worth the cost in your opinion? Was your view great? Thinking about this room but concerned that the view might be obstructed by a tree (read that can happen). If so, I would not be happy to have paid the theme park rate price.

Yes, twice and yes, well worth it. We got requested and got odd # room on a high floor for both stays. Nothing can obstruct views up there.

Will note that right now you can get a TPV room at WL if you book standard and get a high floor.

Did it once (stayed in a RPC king room). The view was not obstructed but the castle is very distant and at an angle. I felt Poly views were much better for viewing the fireworks and nothing could beat CR for being so close that you feel like you're almost in the park. Was it worth the price? well, I booked for the king bed and the club level amenities. Seeing the castle from my room was just an added bonus.

Most of the theme park views at GF are not direct views, as in you might have to go out on your balcony and turn your head to see the castle. There are some that are direct, but it's kind of luck of the draw unless it's RPC. If that's good enough then go ahead, just don't expect the directly out your window type views like at Poly and CR.

DW and I liked the MK view at GF better then when we stayed at POLY. Yes, we had to turn towards the left (Boca Chica) but we could clearly see the top half of the castle. Where as at POLY the castle just seemed much smaller and now with the Bora-Bora area you need to be sure to get a high floor. The view from CR is wonderful. I will tell you that we paid for MK view at POLY, and when we stayed at GF we got upgraded from WL to GF-LV and then more pixie dust to have a view of the castle:) With that said, we would not pay much more per night to have MK view at either resort.

Sorry - What is RPC?

I had a theme park view years ago at CR, and it was amazing. We had a glimpse of the castle from our room in the Poly (but had to struggle to see it, although I did not pay for the view). I am starting to feel like it's a gamble with the GF.

Reserve a lagoon view room and request Boca Chica, upper floor and you just may get to see the castle:) Even if you do not, they have some great views.

If you already state you will not be happy to have spent extra if you don't like the view, I don't think you should.
RPCis a Royal Palm Club - Concierge & very expensive.
In your case I think TPV at CR might be best

We tried the theme park view at GF a few years ago after staying at MK view CR for years. We actually like the room better but was disappointed by the view. Not nearly as good in our opinion. We decided it's MK view CR or nothing for us. Going again in Dec, can't wait!

Worth it is very subjective. For me, no it's not worth it. I enjoy staying in the MK resorts, but there are so many spots to enjoy Wishes from at these resorts. We are just back from 2 weeks at GF. Although we didn't have a TPV we could watch Wishes from our balcony just couldn't see castle or lower fireworks. If I wanted to watch seeing the castle we went to Gaspys to watch from the patio. How much time are you going to spend in the room enjoying the MK view? A nice view is important to me, but it doesn't have to be a MK view. For the $$ up charge they ask, I'd rather spend it on something else.

I was upgraded to TPV one time at the Grand. It was lovely. I would not pay for it. As others. Have suggested, worth is subjective.

Yes, RPC is Royal Palm Club, the concierge rooms that are in the main building. The TPV in that category tend to have direct views, but it's something completely different as far as cost and services, typically $1000+ per night.

Awesome view. This reminds me of our view when we had a tower room with a TPV at the Contemporary over 20 years ago. I forgot how good that view was and it makes me sort of think maybe trying to get that same view at the GF isn't worth the extra money. We def want to stay in the GF (not the Contemporary this time). So maybe I just won't pay the extra for the TPV. But amazing view!!!!

Ok I get it now thanks!!! That's def not in our price range.

We did TPV at the GF and The Poly..... I don't think we would do it again. Will try the Contemporary some time in our lives but are not rushing to do it...... Worth it?....... It is all dependent on how deep your pockets are. My wife and I discussed this and determined that it is not worth it.... But we are glad we did it to cure our curiosity.

Yes, it was! We lucked out getting an AP rate for Atrium Club near Christmas that year and just a few months before they increased the rate for TP View vs Lake View. We could not afford that room today!
