We are currently planning a trip for September and DD wants to eat at Morimoto's in DS for lunch on a non-park day for wife and daughter. I was thinking about doing AK for a few rides with EMH and then meeting them for lunch. We may go over to DHS afterwards for a few FP rides IF they are doing Star Wars fireworks (really want to see that show, big fan).

1. Does bus service run to Disney Springs from the Animal Kingdom? If so, how long would it take to get there?

2. Do buses run from Disney Springs to Disney's Hollywood Studios?

Any help would be appreciated.

Buses do NOT run from DS to the parks. You can either get a bus to AK and then bus to DS OR bus to Saratoga Springs and walk over OR bus to one of the Port Orleans resorts and boat over. Or you can just get a cab. If you use Disney transport, plan for at least an hour to get over to DS. It may not take that long, but it easily could.

To get back to HS after lunch, grab a bus to one of the EP resorts and then walk or boat over to HS. Again, this will take at least an hour.

That's an awful lot of connections and waiting around. Like the OP said, Uber is your friend. It's not even worth considering anything else.

Just had an idea. Would it be OK to use the Saratoga Springs stop and walk over to Disney Springs? How far is it?

From Saratoga to Morimoto about a 20 minute walk.
If you don't want to take a cab or Uber, just get on the first Disney resort bus that arrives at AK, then connect from whatever that resort is to DS. It should be about a 45 minute trip
Then you can do the same going to DHS, first resort bus from DS and then take the DHS bus

Buses don't' run from parks to Disney Springs (or vice versa) since a LOT of people would just use the free parking at Disney Springs and bus over to the parks.

Otherwise (as above posters stated) you have to take a bus to any resort and then wait for a bus there to Disney Springs.

It is the downside to Disney Springs (compared to say Universal's City Walk). No "easy" access from the parks and resorts to this shopping center.

I really didn't think about that. I guess that is why they don't do that. I've never tried Uber but will probably do so to go from the AK to Disney Springs. Might take bus to the Boardwalk and walk/boat to DHS.
