Hello everyone. We are planning a trip in March and at first were doing a package on site with the tickets and meal plan included. Now we are considering staying off site because it is much more affordable. My question is where do we get our disney theme park tickets from and does it cost a lot more than getting them with a package deal? I am so confused about this! Thanks so much.

It costs the same or slightly less, usually. Go to www.mousesavers.com to find a list of vendors who sell slightly (3% or so) discounted tickets. We have use online vendors with success in the past. We now buy ours at our local AAA for a slight dicsount off gate price. You can also just buy them at the park, or at Downtown Disney, when you get there, for full price.

Depending on when you are going in March, you still have time to go to www.mousesavers.com, and sign up for their monthly newsletter. It comes out on the 15th of the month, and in it you will find a link to www.undercovertourist.com with special discounts for mousesavers subscribers. You have to order the tickets through that link to get the additional savings. It will take about 5-7 business days to receive the tickets in the mail with their free shipping. I believe you can get them faster if you pay for expedited shipping.

If you don't feel you have time to wait for the 15th to order, you can got to undercovertourist now and you will still save $$ of the gate price.

If you'd rather not worry about waiting for the mail to arrive, remembering to pack them, etc., you can also order them from Disney will-call, and pick them up at any theme park ticket booth. As long as you are ariving at an off-peak time (i.e. not mid-morning) you won't wait but a few minutes.

Our AAA office only had hoppers when we went two years ago. Do you know if it is possible to get the base ticket from AAA?

This is good advice, but we get a better price at our AAA, FWIW.

I always received a better price from UC through mousesavers and havent checked AAA in a while because of this. Are you talking about just tickets or package deals. Would like to know for future trips. Thanks!:)

If you only need 4 or 5 days of tickets, then it's cheaper through dwtickets.com. $207.46 for a 5-day.

We never buy a package, ever, even when staying onsite.

I only buy park tix at AAA. Our office has all the ticket possibilities, and also Universal tix.

Different AAA offices have different prices. YMMV.

I always check the various sites (those mentioned above) every year, and the past 2 years AAA has been our best bet, by a few bucks.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the info Mainbound! Next time, I will check out our AAA as well. We have never done the packages either. Leaving soon for our first trip to Windsor Hills:banana:
What is YMMV.?

That is w/out tax and shipping. $8.95 s/h plus FL tax. Undercover tourist is flat rate and free shipping if standard. Not sure if I can post it here b/c of special mousesaver thing, but it is less expensive.

Either way, if it turns out you got the mousesavers newsletter / undercover tourist way, they are super. I had to pay for quick ship b/c I procrastinated, but I had them in 2 days. And, they answer their phones!! Not that dw doesn't, I've never used them, but nice to know.

My shopping cart at dwtickets.com shows tax as $0.00. If it adds tax later in checkout, I'm not sure, but that'd make it lose the competition. You can pick them up for free to avoid shipping. The Mousesavers link through the newsletter is $217.95, so a little over $10 more per ticket than dwtickets.com. Though it includes an extra day. These are for adult base tickets.

Your mileage may vary.

You will love WH. Have a great trip!

Ps. don't forget to make a copy of the back of your tix in case they get lost.

Some companies (I work for a bank and my SIL works for UPS) have employee discounts for things. Both of our companies offer Disney tix--and the prices are good!:goodvibes

Afew years back we got tix at one of thouse parking lot booth people (no time share tour) saved around $15 a tic if I recall correct. Seemes alittle scarry buying from these guys but they have been there forever and if it was shady I dont think they would be there as long as they have been. If I remmber right they but tics from people that get the multi day pass and dont use all the days. then they resell them and you have to use them within a day or two.

Is that an offer?

My company has this prices:
1 day magic your way base ticket $61
7 day magic your way base ticket $187

Is it good?

I don't know if this would work now with Disney's finger scan. I don't suggest buying "used" tickets.

I always think that for the amount of trouble checking different prices around at the different sites and waiting for the tickets to arrive really isn't worth the savings. You don't often get great discounts on Disney tickets. As one person mentioned it may be 3%. This equates to $6-$10 in savings per ticket. Of course we only buy for two. I just find it easier to get them from the Disney store or purchase at the park direct from Disney. I would consider AAA if we ever wanted Hopper Passes, though that will not likely happen.
