Actually there is no longer a stop and lane for the buses... now all buses, traffic going to the resorts and cast members going to MK cast parking behind Magic Kingdom exit to the far right before the parking booths and avoid the toll booths all together.
That opened November 14th and has had one lane variation since then. It's part of the new road system.
Is it a pain in the butt to pay for theme park parking? Like, is it going to add 15 minutes onto actually getting in parked or no? We are staying off site and driving. We stayed on-site with a car last time and that was slick, but I've never had to deal with actually paying for parking and was wondering what I could expect.
Since you're referencing your experience driving while staying on-site last time I assume the only change in your situation is simply the need to *stop* and *pay*. Whereas, typically when rolling through the parking hut the CM will just wave you on through if you show them your MB or they might scan your MB. The crowd levels, etc are all "constants" in your comparison since you'd have to deal with all of that anyway. Since the only change is you having to hand over some money to the CM, you will add maybe a minute or so to your typical driving time. Nothing more than that.
Thanks for all the responses guys! I really appreciate it! It has been three years since our last trip and I paid zero attention to what the other cars were doing, so I didn't know if there was a paying lane vs a on-site lane or really what to expect. This put my fears of waiting in an endless line while people fumbled for change to rest. Thanks so much!
