I have been to many theme parks in my life (this is the first disney trip though) and usually at MOST theme parks they have either one shop dedicated to seeling last years items cheaper than any other shop in the park or they will have one shop with a almost hidden clearence rack in the back somwhere where you can find big bargains on souvenieers. I have seen the best deals at Dollywood and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I collect Shot Glasses so at Dollywood I have gotten them for .99 before adn at bush gardens Williamsburg I got a few for 1.99. The best deal was at a small park where I got last years park logo shot glass for .49 while the new ones were 5.99 each!

I know disney might not do this but if they do let me know. What about Sea World and the Universal Parks? Do they do this quite clearence stuff?

I've never seen an actual clearance section, but I have seen things on clearance before. Usually stuff that isn't moving very fast through the store, they'll have a little white and red sticker on them...

I have never seen such a store at Disney, but Universal has one at each of the parks. The one in IoA is right by the exit.

There is clearance area next to the store that carries Winnie the Pooh stuff between the Christmas Store and the Pin Store in DTD.

They have grab bags for $6 or $7 and a section that I believe is 4 for $10 (it could be less).

I believe everything in the store is under $10.

DH and I have found lots of clearance at WDW in the past - might help that we're usually there in Dec.

They don't usually make a big deal of it - no big signs or sections/stores (on property) dedicated to true "clearance". You have to look through the racks for the markdown tickets.

But...
There are "Premier Character Outlets" not far away in Orlando where you'll find some MAJOR deals on discontinued items, and sometimes even things still being sold in the parks.

There's one HERE and HERE
We got some major deals at both of these - in some cases 75% off and more. If you're a big shopper, it's probably worth grabbing a cab to one of these. If you have a car, it's definitely worth taking a drive. :)

ETA: Forgot to add - one thing we lucked into last Dec was the resort-wide sale that took place starting the 2nd week of Dec at virtually all Disney run stores on property. Discounts were 40-50% on things like Ts, Christmas ornaments, mugs, hats, etc. I believe the sale ran well into Jan. I've never seen a sale like this in all our trips to Disney - a long time CM at DTD confirmed that he hadn't either. Not sure if they'll repeat it again this year or not.

Most (if not all) of the stuff in that store is normally under $10 so it's not really clearance.

Best bet for clearance is the premier character outlet, mentioned before.
