The4OfUs...."Romantic Escape at Sea" Pkg

This is making me so much more excited for our cruise! Hubby loved reading this thread and looking at the pictures. Thank you all so much!!!

Juli- I notice you did both the spa taster and the well-being massage. Which did you prefer? Do they massage your head/scalp with the well-being massage or just for the spa taster? Thanks for your time and report :)

Great pictures Nikki, I tried not to look (rolled down past them quickly) because I want to be surprised, yet I cliked onto your post anyway because I am so curious  , can't help myself. You have been wonderful to keep as all informed about this package

Hi Strawberry Blonde,
The Spa Taster had a scalp massage...nothing dramatic, just basic. The Well-Being had no scalp massage. Did I notice or care? No way! I was almost asleep and they had to pour me out of the spa. Their recommendation...massages once/month....I'm all for it!

I too learned so much from these boards. I would have never thought about the R.E.A.S. (Romantic Escape at Sea, but I like using Juli's abbreviation!) And DH is not one to add 'frivolous' expenses, but he and I both thought that the package was worth it. It cost us more than had we just independently booked Palo ($20) and a couples massage ($178), since we wouldn't have added the Romance Basket ($54) -- that's the basket with the picture album, champagne and chocolates. But the Romance basket was a nice touch. And, it was SO nice not to have to get onboard and scramble for reservations.

We took advantage of booking the brunch reservation in advance, too. That was an addition $20 charge. We loved Palo! The massage was wonderful too. We went in thinking that we were going to do the well being massage. But, when I was asked what area I would like the massage to concentrate on, I said upper back and shoulders, she explaineded that the spa taster would give more work to those areas since you get a massage on the back of your body. Then, you flip over and get a facial with a shoulder and scalp massage. She said the part I would be missing is massaging the front of my legs and more work on my arms. I am sure either would have been enjoyable!

I would definitely consider booking this package again!

Thank you all for your info on this package! I'm glad to hear that your Palo service charge was included! The4ofus, what night did you go to Palo? Also were you able to choose which morning for your champagne breakfast?. What made you decide on the dining rotation you chose? Thanks again!!:wave2:

I chose to skip the "Mexicalifragalistic" night, no matter what our rotation (I didn't choose the rotation because I didn't really care, being our first time I wasn't sure which I'd have preferred anyhow), so that was Weds night on the 7 day cruise. The only thing I regretted was that everyone that night was walking around with pretty leis that they gave out at dinner, so I went to find our servers and they had saved me 4 of them anyhow!!

And yes, you choose the morning of the breakfast, I did it by going to Guest Services, but they told me I could have also asked our stateroom hostess, or called Room Service myself to tell them. I chose the 2nd day at sea for that (Thursday) so there was no "rushed" feeling, seeing as they brought us 2 giant trays of food! ;)

I just booked this for our cruise..it looks great. Does anyone know if theyll let you book other spa treatments in advance as well?? DW really wants to do more than just what there offering and it be nice if i can do all the ressies in advance.

Also I saw the mention of the Tea Roses. Is there someting on one of Disney sites that mentions these add ons?

thanks!!

Hi all,

Thanks for your postings, never heard of that package, any idea how to book it? Never have been on a cruise before, traveling from Mass. with 4 kids for EC cruise March 20. We are very excited, but clueless. Any advice would be great.

Laurie: If you booked directly with DCL, call them and let them know you want to add this on. It is $299. If you booked through a travel agent, you may have to ask them to add this on...not sure.

Go to www.disneycruise.com, click on RESERVATIONS and then on the left side menu, it is ROMANTIC ESCAPE AT SEA. You can read about it there.

GOOD LUCK and HAPPY SAILING!

And the "Tropicalifragalistic" isn't much better - same menu but on the Eastern. Nothing on the menu that we enjoy so it's our Palo night!! But some people just love it - so I say, to each their own!

And also thank you to you, Juli, for your input on this - it's great to have everyone's experience because we are all unique individuals and what is great to one ....may not be so great to another.

For my $299- I'm in! Boy, will Tom be surprised at those rose petals!!!!

Hi Laurie  . We are also going to be on the March 20 cruise, and our first also. There is a thread going by people who will be on that cruise, come check it out!

Just wanted to verify ~ All of your Palo ressies are included? Dinner, Brunch and TEA?:hyper:

You can MAKE all the ressies, but the only ones included in the PRICE is the dinner. Brunch was $20, we didn't do the tea. :)

The4ofUs,
Would you mind if I used your photos to make a page about this on my website? I would be happy to give you full credit. The photos are great! Please email me at disneycruise@yahoo.com as we're in the midst of updates based on our cruise last weekend.

Wow! Way to go Nikki! I liked your pictures too -- it brought back memories of our room. Our bathtub was filled and had rose petals floating on top like Juli mentioned. It was amusing to us -- now had it been a jacuzzi tub for two, that may have been another story! ;)

My son (8) will love to see that bathtub since he is the only member of our family that could actually use it!!!!

LOL Rae, I was thinking the same thing.......my kids would love that:cool:

It's nice to know you can make all the ressies in advance even if the only one included in the price is the dinner. That's a nice perk.

The4ofUS...do you know if it works the same for spa ressies?? Can I book other spa treatments in advance that are not included in the package?

thanks in advance
