The4OfUs...."Romantic Escape at Sea" Pkg

I spoke to Debbie 2 days ago to book our reservations for the REAS package. She let me book Palo dinner for three. My mother in law is coming on the cruise with us. We only booked one package for our cabin. She is staying in a different cabin. Debbie said making a reservation for three was no problem.

Just spoke with TA and she said that my reservations are in but will not be confirmed until we are within 30 days of sailing. Now all I have left to do is to set up my little suprise visit to our table where Mickey Mouse (I have already contacted Disney and was told when I decide what night to call them back) gives my DW her actual birthday present from dad, DD and DS. So which restaurant would be best for this? Not Palo because I want DD and DS to be there for the suprise.

The basket will be in your room waiting for you...will that be a problem, or spoil the surprise? I can't remember if the tag has on it the name of the package or not!

You can either believe her or us. We provide the best information we can because we cruise frequently and report back on what we have learned. We do our best. Do we make mistakes? Probably, but we tell it like it is.

Obviously, Constance was trying to make a joke, no one could be that ignorant and rude. Or stupid because she has to be aware that we share things here and Disney does read these boards to see what is being said and by whom.

My family is sailing on the Wonder in June. We booked the Romance pkg. after finding out that we could NOT book the Romantic Escape at Sea pkg because we have purchased a land and sea pkg. We were forced to puchase the Romance pkg for $599. (but that is another post)....I spoke with Debbie weeks ago. She identified herself as the "dining coordinator". She was more than willing to go ahead and take my PALO and SPA ressies. This was very far in advance!!! She is a VERY CAN DO PERSON. I too have spoken to some CMs that are very eager to point out why you can't do something and some that are very inaccurate concerning details and become very defensive when you question them. I have learned that if at first you don't succeed try try again. Soetimes it is the luck of the draw as to what level of help you will receive when you call DCL or Disney.

I am not coming down on all CMs it's just frustrating to receive inconsistant information. Gosh...maybe that is what these boards are for?!?!?!?!

How do I get in contact with Debbie - the dining coordinator?? This may have been posted already but I've probably missed it!

It's not long until sailing time and I want to go ahead and call her about our REAS pkg. reservations!

Thanks for thinking of this, but I do not think that this will be a problem as I already told DW about the Romance package. You see, DW has never had a massage and I started thinking she may balk at the thought. I actually went and got her a day at a spa for one of her birthdays and she backed out and got the money back because she was affraid she wouldn't feel right. Now she says that she will go if I go. So we are all set.

I booked my cruise/REAS through All Seasons and was told someone would contact me 10 days prior to my cruise date to make ressies for REAS. Now OBVIOUSLY I'm anxious and want to make ressies NOW!! But I'm wondering is it really appropriate for me to try and contact Debbie on my own prior to the 10 day mark? With all the information that's on this thread it seems like I could just call her and take care of it now, or 45-30 days prior to my cruise. But I don't know if I should just wait to hear from her? I'm sure she's been busier since the start of this thread.

Any opinions???

I also booked through All Seas travel. They gave me the same information. I was given Debbie's number during a conversation with a very helpful CM. She suggested that I call Debbie if I had not heard from here within 30 days of sailing. I had planned to do this, but during another conversation with another helpful CM she put me through to Debbie and Debbie suggested that I go ahead and make my ressies with her at that time(that was about 90 days out from sail date). Debbie is wonderful and obviously takes pride in her customer satisfaction. I would try and call her now if I were you. I agree that we may be overwhelming her with giving out this information...I hope that we are not going to ruin a good thing! GOOD LUCK

IflossU - I also booked through Allseas and was told that I would get a call 10 days prior to the cruise to make my reservations. I decided that I didn't want to wait for them to call me so I called Debbie myself about 2 weeks prior to the cruise. She happily took care of all the reservations for me.

We tipped 15% - 20% (of each massage, not two massages together) to each masseuse.

klStacker- did you call Debbie's direct extension, the one listed a couple of posts earlier in this thread, or did you just call the main DCL line?

Well, my TA called yesterday and said that all is set but that I will not get confirmation until I check in on the Magic. Is this normal? Should I try and call Debbie as so many others here seem to be doing? I really am not going to use a TA on my nextcruise, I like confirmation, and not questions, too much to depend on someone else!

I used a travel agent and that's all you need...the TA talks to Debbie, and gives you the info. You don't need to call Debbie yourself (although from the descriptions of her, I wish I got the chance to! *smile*)

Long ago - I booked my REAS through DVC and was told I'd get a letter from DCL - at approximately 30 days prior to the cruise. I waited.....

YESTERDAY - 13 days prior to my cruise, I received the letter from Inventory Control. I am so glad I didn't wait for this letter and had called her two weeks ago.

Call Debbie and have a wonderful cruise!!!

I also called this morning and talked to Debbie who set up everything for me (I have not received my letter yet as well). She was very pleasant and professional. She also mentioned that she would be going to Europe next week for her sons hockey team and that she would be gone from the office for 9 days. I told her I would post his info so everyone here would know. - Mike

With just 11 days to go...I sure am glad I called when I did rather than wait!

I didn't know Debbie's direct number. I called the general DCL number and asked for the "dining coordinator Debbie." They connected me without any problems. I'm glad I called because I still haven't gotten anything in the mail about the package and we leave in 12 days.
