We absolutely hated Rose and Crown when we were there in 2000. It was vile. The fish tasted bad and was soggy. The chips were soggy as well. It will not be part of our snacking around the World in August.

I wasn't real thrilled with Sci-Fi but have been out voted for this year's trip. No particular reason, I just disliked my spinach dip (the cheese was not to my liking).

The first time I tried it, I got some platter with beans, meat, & rice (if I'm remembering correctly). I had to toss it, it was just gritty and nasty. The second time, it was Asian noodles and vegetables. This was tastless and a bit greasy. I learned my lesson.
I did have a Chef Mickey's meal where I couldn't find anything that tasted good, but I was three months pregnant at the time, so it may just have been me.
I was thinking of trying LTT next trip (before MNSSHP), even though the menu on All Ears doesn't appeal to me. Maybe we should stick with CP, snce we know we love it? But DH has made the LTT pot roast from the WDW cookbook, and we've never tasted the "real" thing....

We've tried LeCellier 2x (I think in 1998 and 2000) -- won't be going there again I don't think. Even though a lot of people REALLY like it, we just weren't pleased with the food.

Also, we LOVED Artist's Point the first time we ate there. We've been back at least twice -- were very unimpressed the last 2 times.

Tony's at MK (and we even gave this one a second chance!)
Hollywood and Vine at MGM. We had terrible service here so that may have overshadowed a mediocre buffet.
Chefs de France. This was such a disappointment. We all had appetizers (just fine) then they brought the kids meals, and about 45 minutes later they finally brought our food - COLD! It would take a lot to get DH to give this one a second chance, but maybe next year!

I have to agree w/ Tony's at MK (yucky yucky yucky meatball)
Also Hollywood and Vine at MGM (same trip!)

DH did not like the food at 50's Prime Time Cafe and we both thought the place was a bit annoying! We would not go back!

The only yucky restaurant we've ever eaten at was the ABC Commissary. This was several years ago and I will usually give a restaurant a second chance but this one was too bad. Food was cold, dried out and strange tasting. We didn't even try to eat more than a bite.

I didn't care too much for the San Angel Inn in Mexico or the Sci-Fi restaurant. Nothing wrong with them, just wasn't what I liked.

The Plaza at MK for Dinner. Gross. I was completely unimpressed with the menu and the food was just blah.

Also, the TS restaurant at POR. I forget the name, but remember that the food was blech and that was February 2006.

I'm trying Kona Cafe on Friday. Will I regret it? It was the only place where I could get a decent time for an ADR before the P&P Party.

We loved Kona when we ate there last May. I don't see a ton of negative reviews on the place either. Enjoy!

I think a lot depends on what your personal tastes are and on how that particular restaurant is running on that particular day.

Overall my experiences have been good. I would say Tony's back in 1996--my spaghetti was green and did crunch--totally covered in parsley! I will be trying it again this summer--I figure 10 years is enough to have elicited change! . I will stay away from Chef Mickey's until it is refurbed--the chairs were filthy and mis matched and the carpet was black in places it should not have been so I found it kind of yuccky. I will not be returning to Garden Grill anytime soon but that has more to do with CM attitude than food. CRT to me is over priced with very low quality food--again it could be just the time I was there, but for that price I'm not willing to take the chance.
As far as CS, I'm not a big fan of the ABC Commissary overall, but the Cuban Sandwich was pretty good. Columbia Harbor House used to be a favorite, but not so very good anymore--I miss the bread bowls with chowder. At Epcot I didn't care for the Japanese CS and thought it was rather unclean in there.
As far as the Resorts are concerned, I have found PepperMarket to be hit or miss, with much of the food past it's prime so to speak--soggy noodles, way too old chinese,etc.

Mine was Spoodles at BW. It was the late 90's when I was there, so I'm guessing the restaurant was new, but not brand new. I forget what exactly I ordered, but there was BROKEN GLASS in my food. Luckily I saw it before I ate it (as far as I know), but I just couldn't go back there if my life depended on it! I'd spend the whole meal digging for glass in my food!

Needless to say, we didn't finish our meals, but we didn't pay for them either.

These are two of my favorite places!
The bad meal prize, as far as I'm concerned goes to anything at the Coronado--I spent a week there for a convention last summer and the food was pretty dismal. The Pepper Market served food that was way past its prime and the less said about catered meals offered to convention groups, the better. The sad thing is that we had many people at the convention who never ate anywhere else and came away with the impression that Disney food was just awful.

The Pepper Market at CSR is some of the best CS food I have ever eaten on Disney Property. Everything I got there was cooked fresh right in front of me and the selection was phenomenal.

Our Yuck Factor would be Chefs de France. The entire meal was bad from the cold tasteless food to the waitress who disappeared for long stretches of time.

Some runners up:
ABC commissary used to be pretty good with a nice jucy burger, but the last couple times the burgers were dry and nearly inedible.

Tonys at MK used to have a veal steak that was to die for but it is no longer on the menu. Wish we had known that the last time we ate there as the other selections were not very good.

BOMA---had to try it with all the hoopla but wished i hadnt--waited 40 min to be seated.

Actually have not cared much for any of the buffet we have tried. Hollywood and Vine, Biergarten.

A meal we had in 2005 at Boatwright's Dining Hall was the only meal we both said was really bad -- no taste, overcooked.

Cape May Buffet, let me just say BUGS!!! Big enough reason we won't be going back. I know most restaurants have them but there is no reason I had to see them. Also, this is a poor display of seafood.

Boma is proud 2nd yuck factor runner-up!!! Food is just gross, and we are not picky eaters. We just do not get why people love it here. To each his own, I guess.

Boma was horrible -it was so bad the first time I went back because I was sure I got it wrong. I didnt - it was yuck!
Beaches and Cream was really bad too - I dont know if it was worse than Boma but it was really really bad.

My yuuck is probably another persons yumm. It was at Shutters at The Caribbean Beach Resort during our December 2005 visit. I ordered the prime rib and there was just sooooo much fat. I maybe had 2 bites of actual steak. Turns out that lots of people like super fatty prime rib.

Oh yeah, there was also green powdery stuff on my rolls. The manager came out to show me that the green was just from the plastic bag the rolls came in. He showed me the bag but I couldn't really tell how it transferred to the rolls. It just looked like mold to me. I asked him to take away the rolls. My apppetizer was great - a tomato stack with gorgonzola. The bread pudding dessert I had packed to go. It wasn't very good when I did try it.

What kind of bugs?

2princesscuties, this past June we were seated in a booth against the wall at Cape May and a minute later I saw these gnats crawling all over the wall and on our table. We told the waiter who moved us and said they had the problem a week earlier but had people in to spray and thought that was the end of the problem, but apparently it wasn't. I'm sure they're gone now, but we also can't stand the food, bugs or no bugs, so it is still a "YUCK FACTOR" for us.

I posted about the bugs there when we arrived home from our trip and actually had someone telling me on these boards that I was crazy. Unbelieveable that some would think I'd lie about something like that.
