Please allow me to apologize - I failed to introduce the "cast" in my previous post. We are a party of six - Mom, Dad, the teenage DD (13) and our three sons (11, 9 and 5). This was our second trip. Please, continue.

The clock has ever so slowly ticked down to our "wakeup call" time and everyone is up and ready to go by 5 a.m. I had packed some quick snack foods for breakfast but somehow forgot to pack breakfast appropriate beverages. The kids polished off their Oatmeal breakfast squares and poptarts with the gatorade and Grape Propel water that I had packed for later in the week. It was either that or coffee and since I was sitting next to the 5 year old for the flight, I elected to forgo the caffeine. Drink the gatorade, kids. It's good for you!

I am happy to report that we found the airport on our first try. We unloaded all 11 suitcases and dragged them to the shuttle stop. Thinking that we were going to sunny Florida, we wouldn't need our winter coats, right? We left the coats in the car and made some new friends at the bus stop as we crowded together with the business commuters to keep warm.

I had checked in online yesterday so we did curbside checkin and bypassed the ticket counter. Sweet. Thinking we had checked 11 bags, I give the guy $10. He seems happily surprised. As we're walking away, I realize that we have FOUR carryons and I just gave the guy a super big tip. It wouldn't be a super big deal if I wasn't counting every penny! I sure hope I don't need that $4 later!

With an hour to spare til takeoff, we waltz to our gate and wait. The little boys look thru the autograph books from last trip and my 11 year old actually lies on the floor and does MATH homework. Are they ill? Why are they all getting along?

Once on board and in the air, the flight attendant announces mixed drinks are $4. I really need one but the skycap has my drink money. :jumping3: Thankfully, we arrived safely in Orlando and a taxi van magically appeared within seconds of being called from the taxistand. Everyone else enjoyed our taxi ride while I kept an eye on the meter and worried about the cost. I showed off my superior knowledge of the Orlando hotels by shouting out the names of the hotels based on the photos I'd seen when researching online. "Oooh, there's the Gaylord." etc... Someone's wasted waayyyy too much time online.

We arrive at the All Star Movies and DH and I send the kids to the kids TV area to keep them out of the money issues. Here's where the fun really begins.
