At the panic attack on Soarin' I am planning taking my mother who is 70+ on it in February


I have to tell you those whistles would seriously get on my nerves, tell me it stops. PLEASE!

Minion #2 had taught Minion #1 the day before how to do those really loud whistles with you fingers in your mouth and he kept on annoyingly doing this all morning. Meanwhile his mother and I kept telling him to stop, but does he listen? Nooooooo. The point of this? Well…

As we're being seated in our SE buggy thingy he decides to whistle inside. The CM goes up to him and scolds him and tells him there's no whistling inside. It was awesome!! Alright CM!! Needless to say, as soon as we got off the ride he started up again. Ugh.

Don't you love when someone else scolds & they actually listen!!! Even if only for a little while.

Explored the aquariums and stuff for awhile until it was time to watch Turtle Talk with Crush, which as usual was hilarious. The boys really enjoyed that, so that was cool to see, now I kinda know what parents with kids feel like when they see their kids enjoying themselves.

I love Turtle Talk. My 3 nieces love it too! It's a must see!

As soon as the ride started my cousin Bre started freaking out! Like big time freak out, near panic attack. :

Oh my! That must have really been scarey for her! Good for a day's worth of teasing though!!

I am bringing my cousins 13,11 and 9 in April and have informed them all that Disney has babysitters and u might be old enough not to need them but you will get them if you annoy. Can you feel the

Destination: Epcot

(This by the way was the last time I'd be seeing the Wand. Bye Wand!! )

I miss the wand...it's so strange not seeing it there anymore...

We got our Stitch and Mickey wake-up call,

Ok, I swear - I could not find a wake up call button on the phones in SSR - any of my rooms!?!??

I tell everyone to wait for me by Spaceship Earth and recruit Ivan to come with me to get FPs for Soarin'. We run all the way to the land and back in no time and that was my exercise for the day.

Atta girl!! Way to roll!!

I haven't ridden SE in like 6 years and I missed it April. All I have to say is I'm glad they're refurbing this ride. I was little scared climbing up the Epcot ball. Still love the whole theme of the ride though.

I know it's kinda hokey, but I love that ride. And I was surprised by how much I missed riding it in August... But can't wait to see what they've done though...

As soon as the ride started my cousin Bre started freaking out! Like big time freak out, near panic attack. She grabbed onto my mom's arm and buried her head in her shoulder screaming Aye Titi!!!! (Titi=Aunt in Spanish pronounced teetee, So Oh my god Auntie!!!) Over and over again, it was hilarious! My mom kept telling her that we weren't really moving and trying to calm her and so did Minions #1 and #2 who were sitting to the left of her (mom was on the right) I was next to mom and Minion #3 was next to me. Anyhoo somewhere around the Orange Groves of California she finally calmed down. It was still funny though and we all started making fun of her afterwards!

I know, I think I snapped it before he could smile though. That's the best pic I got of them with their mom. You'll see in future pics, someone was always off so it was a miracle that they were all lookig at the camera.

I would have killed my brothers if they did this. That sound is so annoying!

Poor Ivan seems a bit camera shy. I'm hoping he gets over that by the end of your trip and starts to smile more.

It was so hard to get him to smile, I just kept telling him he looked better when he smiled and told him to smile and then he would.

So what happens next? What happens next? Hurry back and update when you have the time! I'll be waiting!

What to do next??

What kind of DISer am I?!

I did have a plan, but I knew that I was outnumbered in getting my group to get places and to do things when I wanted to do them so my plans were flexible.

So we’re walking out of The Land and still laughing at Bre. She’s laughing with us though so it’s all good fun.

We start walking towards MS and TT, and I spot the lovely times/info board that Epcot has. The wait times appear and MS and TT both have 60 min. waits. Ugh , that sucks so much! Right before we got on Soarin’ I had spotted the wait time for MS and it was 20 min. and was hoping it would still be a short wait after we got off Soarin’. Well I was sooooooooo wrong about that. The FP times were too late for both so we didn’t bother getting any. The FPs for Soarin’ are already out too, so sadly Mom won’t be getting back on Soarin’ today.

For all you TGMers, we’ve suddenly become “Them”!

I KNOW!!!

So I’m explaining this all to my mom and she asks when we are supposed to eat. So I tell her our ADR isn’t ‘til 1pm. So she asks me if we could go eat now, because we were all starting to get hungry anyway. I told her I doubted it , plus we had a little problem.

*Side Note: When I had made the dining changes to add Daniel (minion #1), this ADR was the only one that I was unable to change. End Side Note*

I tell mom about this, and that I don’t know if the restaurant will let us add him on when we check in. So mom in her infinite wisdom asks me if we can eat anywhere else. Now why didn’t I think of that?! What kind of DISer am I?!

So with limited options of what exactly the boys and I would eat I scroll through my rolodex in my head of the possible eating locations nearby that we could possibly eat. I come up with Cantina San Angel in Mèjico. I’m a little leery of dining here because I had kept seeing bad reviews for it on the DIS, but mom likes Mexican food and so does everyone else. I pull out my trusty cell, which is already dying, (stupid phone, ugh ) and dial Disney Dining to make a back-up ADR. I’m finally connected with a CM and my phone starts beeping telling me it’s about to die, so I quickly ask the CM for ressies at CSA for 6 and I give a silent prayer that I can get the ressie and whaddya know! He tells me no problem and I say book it! I give him mom’s info (silently thanking V and her idea for this whilst making multiple ADRs ) and we’re good to go.

With still nowhere to go, mom pipes up again and asks if we can just go to the restaurant and see if they’ll allow us to check-in. Hmmmm, never hurts to try mom! So I have another Them moment because I’m not quite sure where our restaurant is but once I find it we head back to the Living Seas for our ADR at Coral Reef.

Will we be able to check in?

Will we be able to add-on Minion #1?

Or will we end up canceling and head off to Mexico?

Forgive me I decided to do a DM type update and make it short.
Pics in the next installment promise.

A week I almost fell off my chair when I read that.

I was watching TV when I was writing and you know how they show the preivews for the next episode, which is the next week? Well I decided to use that for my TR. Of course I wouldn't leave youse guys waiting a week.

It's ok, it's ok!! You tried your best to lead your party in the "DISer" way! You HAD to be flexible! There was no other way!

I knew prior to the trip that it was going to be hard to do the parks the way I like to do them with kids. I've read enough TRs to know kids don't like to follow my well thought out plans.

Nope, sadly not there anymore, by July they started to take it down and by August most of it was gone.

As for Turtle Talk, I'm not really sure. Has he seen Finding Nemo? How does he do during that? I think the show is like 7-10 min. and it's a huge screen in an auditorium that isn't too big and the little kids sit up front on the floor (they don't have to though). It's not very loud, the loudest part is usually when people start laughing. If he gets freaked out by large-ish talking animated turtles then it may night be a good idea. If you want to see how he'll react though, play the scene in Finding Nemo where they meet Crush and see if he'll sit through that part. I hope you guys get to see it.
