It sounds like Disney is going to keep up with their amazing success after the 50th is over. Starting in October they begin The Year of a Million Dreams You can read more about it here, http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/index

No one could ever claim Disney lacks in ideas to keep people coming back.....

It looks great!! But if you don't win one of the dream vacations, what will be different to all the regular folks? It seems like a new fireworks show??? but other than that, I don't see how they can grant everyone's wishes. Not to be a downer, it sounds like fun for the lucky few that will win!

You'll still get the great Disney experience you've always gotten. Is there something wrong with that? :confused3 You'll also the the excitement of "maybe today will be my Disney dream day".

Sounds like Rockit Mountain was a success with the grad nites. It's going to be fully installed by Spring!

I hope they make my dream come true and send me to Paris in April of 2007 to see my little brother. My family hasn't seen him for several years and my parents will already be going there and going to Disneyland with him. I would love to go with my wife and 3 girls...but airfare for five of us overseas would kill me let alone the accomodations!

You can always dream right? :thumbsup2

My Million Dreams is already coming true, we went to Disneyland last November with our two kids and we are going back this November but this time we decided to suprise the kids (11 &6) by not telling them about the trip until we are on our way to the airport. But the biggest surprise is my brother and his family are flying into LAX about an hour before we arrive and joining us on this trip (his families first time). It is so exciting. I hope I can keep the secret from our kids until Nov.

OMG that would kill me! I don't think I could do it. When I plan a trip it's all I talk about up until the day we go.

I know what you mean. Thank goodness my brother has been phoning me almost every day since we first booked with questions, I can talk to him and his kids, just not ours!

Oh thats so neat. The videos brought a tear to my eye. Somthing to look forward to when we go next year.

This sounds so exciting. Have a wonderful time! I'm going with my brother & family who has never been to WDW or DL either. I can't wait to see Disney though the eyes of my nephew. He is one of the kids that gets excited when he goes to the park! Disney is going to blow his mind! Good luck keeping that secert. That's going to be differcult!

Oh I understand that! I live a dream every time I go, and this week I'll be dreaming for 4 days straight! I just meant that it wouldn't be an extra reason that I would go next year like the 50th was. I will go regardless, but don't see how things would change on a daily basis because of this. Sorry if you misunderstood.

Also what does that mean? It makes it sounds like the sweepstakes are the way to go! Do you maybe think that they will just be picking random people out of crowds all day and asking them if they want to stay the night in the castle? that would be very very cool but I would be very surprised if they did. Any thoughts?

Andrea

It sounds like they're going to use some sort of statistical randomizer to award the prizes. My guess is that the system will be tied into the park entry system. Every x guest wins a prize or something like that.

I wanna be an x guest, even if I only get a Mickey shaped crispie treat!, topped with chocolate, of course!

Any idea on the specific dates? I'm planning a Oct 17th trip...Am I gonna miss the 50th Celebration? :confused3

I believe (anyone feel free to correct me!) that the 50th celebration ends the very last day of September.

Andrea

Will they be taking all the gold off the castle at that time too? I hope they leave it...maybe just take off the crowns....it looks so beautiful now!

It sounds like Disney is randomly selecting guest everyday in any part of the Disney Resorts even DTD (where admission is free). They will be giving away wishes from golden FP to more elaborate priceless wishes..!!! Can I tell you Disney has been doing this all along on a smaller scale such as suprise room upgrades, flag family, Grand California family for the day etc.. In the past We experinced the magic twice. We were upgraded from a family veranda stateroom to a Suite on the Disney Wonder. Another time we were staying at the Grand California and we participated in the family scavenger hunt and they surprised us to be The Grand California Family for the day. We were given a photograph, balloons and the privelage of being Concierge Level Guests for the day and we were able to view the fireworks in Concierge's viewing lounge which had desserts, cordials, wine etc.. and a spectacular view :cloud9: :cloud9: !!! It sounds like more Disney Guest will be able to experience the magic!!!!! :Pinkbounc
