What I remember most (I graduated in 1983), is when the Stray Cats first came around - they were seriously WEIRD. It was just odd hearing swing-type music at that time. But now, I look back on it very, very fondly.

I remember when they were on Band Stand singing this song!! I loved Band Stand. Wish they hadn't gotten rid of it.

I was in high school then too Our mascot was a bearcat, (what IS a bearcat anyway? None of us ever knew - lol ) so we thought the line about having cat class and cat style was soooo cool

They played that song at all the pep rallies and the cheerleaders did a dance routine to it.

Just heard it this morning on my way to work. I LOVE Brian Setzer and the Stray Cats!! Can't tell you how many times I've seen them and have all (or most) of their music! I even followed them back to their hotel one night & got autographs and a pick!

I agree with previous posters that the Brian Setzer orchestra is great as well...DH and I went to see them in concert a couple years ago...they've even got a Christmas CD.
