Morning all Its chilly here today but it feels pretty good. Gotta sort through my Christmas gifts today to make sure it all looks even. I have had my stuff at 2 different houses so its been kinda hard to keep up with.Other than that I dont think its gonna be to exciting around here.

When did you all get so chatty!!!!! My goodness. Well I have deiced in light of all of the sickies and red noses, I would like to take care of the first round of facials at the spa...if we ever get there. Not much planned here today. I too am going to spend a good amont of time in bed and try to get the last of the boogies in my nose gone!!!! That would take weeks though I have a feeling.....hope everybody is not feeling well, gets better and those who still have some last minute stuff to get done are ableto do it...stress free. I m available to wrap you know!!!! Have a great day all!!!!

Beth, girls' night out for NYE sounds wonderful! I'd go for it.
Ours will be home......not much of a partier, especailly on NYE (although those all girl parties are the best!! ).

DD gets here today, so I will spend the day making cookies! yay! finally. I miss the holiday cookie baking. With no one home to eat them, I just didn't do it this year.

I just got home from the office - bad morning. I got so frustrated that I just walked out and came home.

Nancy - I miss my Mom's cookies the most!! She got diagnosed with Lupus around 2.5 years ago and can't do her bing any more - all cookies, cake, buns, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. were from scratch. Sigh...... she's still a great cook - but NONE of those traits were passed on to me. Which shocks her to no end!!

Last year I sent big boxes of cookies to DD at school and she would share them in the dorm.
This year she is in an apartment and bakes her own, when she wants them.
Last year DS lived close and I took cookies to him all the time.

I'm feeling somewhat better today. YAY! And the vaseline last night helped alot. I don't look so much like Rudolph anymore. LOL

DH is with FIL. He is retiring (it is official Jan. 2) and today is the day they present him with his gifts and he walks through the plant. He wanted his 2 sons with him.

Gotta run and pick up a few last minute things today. Hope every place I go isn't packed.

Nancy - hmmmmmm............... I think it has to be a record! Remember when they would shut us done mid-subject!! Those days were a hoot!! We'd dive right into a new thread and carry on where we left off!!

My kids should be coming home from school soon - only had 1/2 day today and are now off until Jan. 5th.

I still have lots of work to finish up - but thankfully I can do it from the home office - they are a bunch of cranky sour pusses up there today! And the graphic designer made about 5 of us tap our toes and stare at the walls because he overslept and was late - and then he's huffy and we didn't even say a word to him..... Everyone who walked into the office today was muttering about cancelling Christmas - except for me and DH!! Ugh!

Sherry sneated!

It's raining here, too! Melted all the snow and is supposed to get up to 51 degrees - then get cold again overnight with snow on Christmas Eve and Day. Gee, Sherry- wonder why all of us are sick? This crazy weather stinks!!

That is so nice that your FIL wanted his sons with his for his last day of work!

Hey Nancy- Just wanted to let you know anytime you feel like whipping up a batch of cookies you can send them my way.
I really missed my Christmas baking this year. But, my bestest friend in Ga. didn't forget me and sent me a batch of her famous buckeyes (peanut butter balls).

Hey, are ya'll sending the rain south or something? It's starting to cloud up here but, at least it is a bit warmer.

Pam, I'm sure glad those scrooges aren't affecting you and DH's spirit! Don't know what we would do with a Bah Humbug Pammie on our hands
