Morning here... feeling a bit shakey and not so good. We wound up with four guys spending the night here The bad thing is I had a ton of grease on my food very late last night and I stupidly drank a little bit of a mixed drink that has alcohol no nos in it... well you can guess what happened. It's been almost 10 years since I have been sick, so this has my body all shakey today.

Good morning, all! Today has dawned bright and beautiful with plenty of !! MIghty quiet here at the spa last night, though! I got home from work to find no cable so I spent some time on the phone and then caught up on 3 weeks worth of Enterprise episodes. That nasty storm hit us about 11 and I feared for our windows, the rain was pelting them so hard!! Cable is back this morning (obviously ) so I can drop in before we take of for our day of play!

Got a few errands to run this morning and we thought we'd go see Troy this afternoon. Need to pick up a bib or two beforehand--I saw some pix from the movie online the other day and those boys are HOT HOT HOT in their armor!! And to have FOUR of them all in one movie?!! Hope I don't before the end!!

Chin up, Liz!! One week down and only one more to go!! I checked my bank balance and I can contribute a few dollars to the bail fund if necessary. But I would rather you keep away from knives, ropes, pillows, large monkey wrenches and the like.

Amanda, sorry about the allergies/sinus. Hope you can have a good time at KI despite it--both tree AND grass pollen is bad right now!

Nancy, has DD moved back from school now? I know ya'll had graduation (I can't get over how cute she looked in those pigtails with her mortarboard!!!) but did she get moved, yet? Loved the flower pix--your irises are gorgeous!! And glad to hear there is somebody else who just wants to stick 'em in the ground and forget 'em!! That's me, because if I have to take care of 'em, I'll kill 'em for sure Got a pair of black thumbs herre!

So, I see we have a lurker about?! A fan of Jelly Rolls??!! OMG, I just LOVE that place!! Had a blast at a Dis Con meet there back in Dec. 2002--I think we did the Hokey Pokey and the Unicorn song, a couple of birthday girls got spotlighted on stage, it was soooo much fun! There were 2 sets of guys at the pianos--one pair was definitely MUCH better than the other. Then there was the guy who did the Kermit the Frog imitation, singing Rainbow Connection............OYE!!! Feel free to speak up now and then, JR Karen, we are NOT an exclusive group and welcome all who drop by. New blood is always good for the mix!!!

I haven't had to worry about allergies yet as keeping inside with the air running seems tobe working great for me!! Just think...the wekkend, then Monday and then you are outta here!! What fun!! More entertaining stories about my mother.....this one did not happen to me....but "funny" none the less....a little background..my sister Kim has a very serious kidney disease, she is in the begining stages kindney failure. Eventually she will need to be on dialysis until she has a kidney transplant. She will not be able to have any of these procedures done until she is in total kidney failure....which won't be until a few years from now......anyway Kim and her hubby went on a cruise and left her kids in the care of my mother for a few days

Well Kelsey decided to get into a little trouble at school and was doing a little excessive talking...mind youshe did not learn that from me as we live 1200 miles apart!! A note was sent home saying she needed to talk less and work at school more. So what does my mom do? She writes this very long note to the teacher explaining that Kim has a very serious diease and is dying! The teacher NEEDS to be a little easy on Kelsey as she is about to lose her mother any day!!!Of course my mom DID NOT tell my sister about this note.....well fast forward to everybody is back fromm the trip and life as usual.......about two weeks after the cruise....it is time for Kelsey's parent teacher conference. The teacher for whatever reason will not have a conference with Harry, Kim's husband...it was easier for him to go to these things, as his schedule is a bit more flexable than hers....so the teacher will NOT have a meeting about Kelsey's progress in school. So he goes to the school and tries to talk to the teacher. He of course is a little on the defense at this point and tells the teacher he has every right to know how his daughter is doing in school. The teacher tells him he has more pressing matters to deal with at home. He has NO idea the teacher has this note and idea in her head that my sister isdying and she has no clue that my sister is not dying.....they both have a TOTAL communication breakdown! Finally the teacher asks Harry howl ong Kim has to live and how hard this must be on the family...of course Harry has no idea what she is talking aobut...and the fact that my dying sister and her husband just went on a cruise and left the kids with Grandma.....get teh picture? Well Harry asks what she is talking about and shows him the note from my mother...at first he starts laughing...then realises how angry he is!!! He explains to the teacher that my mom is and they both appologize and go on their merry way!! Then Harry tells my sister this!! My sister did not talk to my mom for at least a month or two, and my mom asks me why isn't Kim talking to me???? She just doesn't get it!!!

Obviously, my mom likes to exaggerate and only likes to hear what she wants to hear. Not great for the old communication skills!! This tends to be a huge part of my struggle with her. That and her inablity to think on her own. I know this all sounds so mean, but I am really having trouble coping with her on this level!!! Say some prayers that we make it through untilWednesday when Greg gets home! She has become a total differant person now that Greg is gone and I can't stop her from doing what she wants to do. She has become a total control freak!!!

As I was writting this, then came the question of ...do you have a boy dog? Well I think he has a $%* on.....Why does he have a #$%^ on? Is this normal? Why? What is wrong? What do I do?

Arghh!! I am not sure how much more of this I can take!! Sorry to vent...thanks for listening!!! My grandma and aunt are coming to visit, so hopefully that will be a good thing....but she has to make my house perfect for when they get here and is trying to figiure out how to get Barkley behind closed doors so he won't disturb us....and she is not letting go of that plan even though I have told her a thousand times...he IS NOT going behind closed doors....this is HIS house!!! Anybody know how I could get her behind closed doors for a few days???????

Bethie is checking out hot dudes in armor and is dealing with redundant loops, Kristy's brain is warped, and Elaine is feeling sort've icky. Blech. Hate that feeling.

Quiet day here. Not sure what is on the itinerary yet... guys are still asleep. Sigh.

Kimmie, you make me giggle when you snork snork!!! Thanks for the kind words for my sister! Somehow we are all coping...of course some better than others. My mom has a way of blowing everything out of proportion........yes my sister is pretty sick and it is gonna get worse...but my sister takes great pride in living each day for what it is. She has her good days and bad days...and for now the good out number the bad!!

Bethie, sounds like a great afternoon!! Hope your enjoy those 5 men you will be hanging with this afternoon!!!! At least for a few hours!!! Glad to hear you have a little extra in the savings...never lnow when you are gonna need to come and save my butt!!

I had a very nice visit with my aunt and my grandma this morning after talking on the phone for a while too!!! Bet you could NEVER guess who I was talking to!!!! Ican't beleive my grandma is 94 and still pretty sharp! It is amazing!!! So we had a lovely chat, called lots of cousins and family and just had a nice chat!!! Guess I am pooped out now, cause I am feeling the need for a nap!!! Just wanted to pop in and say and see how the weekend was going for everyone!!! Hope you are having a great day!

Am staying in tonight to work out some wedding stuff. Made the mistake of calling my Dad to talk about driving directions ...it led to a whole host of other things he wanted to discuss. I had to ultimately set him the task of making different scheduling scenarios, listing potential problems at each step and proposing possible contingency plans for each obstacle...that should keep him busy for a weekend.

Beth - my DD got her "eye candy" from Troy last week. She was going to see Shrek tonight.

I just got home from picking up DS from Scout camp - they decided not to spend the night as we have more severe storms rolling through tonight into tomorrow - we had some woozers off and on all day yesterday.... damaged one of our big trees in the backyard.

I am just sneating in.... don't rat me out to hubby. I have the newspaper all built - except for writing and placing my column - that has to be done by tomorrow morning, before Church....

I am up to almost 250 scrapbook pages in 15 days - the piles of pictures are dwindling! We got the graduation announcements and party invitations mailed out and a lot of the party details worked out, cake ordered, tent reserved, etc., etc.

I must crawl back into my hole now - but rest assured..... I still have mad love for you all!!!!!!

Hi all!! Went bowling and then over to a friend's for a while. I am tired so I came home early. That and it was SOOOO hot inside. Glad to be home and relaxing

Okay, I am with Kim, I know I shouldn't laugh but I did. Sounds exactly like something my grandmother would do Just hang in there... and I realize she can be a pill, but try to appreciate her for who she is. They can be annoying, but when they are gone, those annoyances will be the first things you miss.
