You know what Bonnie--I am on antibiotics for strep. You're right, they probably will not take me today. RATS. Hmmm, Maybe I'll give the Red Cross a call, and see if they need some volunteers for tomorrow.

Sorry, Deb. Didn't want you to go down there and go to all that trouble if you can't donate. ((((hugs)))) and feel better soon.

Oh, and we still want pictures! (I can be quite the nag, can't I?)

Morning all! I've ben up for an hour but been busy doing things, but here I am :)

Pam, glad to hear the treatment went well for your friend.

Yes Nancy, I was on the phone again... will probably happen again today too. I just wanted to say something about phone calls. I really only have a few home phone numbers of people here. If I have a home phone number I will call it. I do have a couple of cell phone numbers but I pretty much never call a cell phone because I hate wasting others minutes. There is only one person I call on their cell and I do it because they have unlimited minutes. I don't know why I had to say that, but I did just because I hate for people to think I don't care about them or something.

Debbie, you are a dear to do all that. I know you are on antibiotics right now, but I am sure that when you can give, they will appreciate it as well.

Jennifer, I always think that the battery is the first thing to go for clocks being off as well. I only ask about freeze ups because someone I knew had their computer freeze every hour and even after replacing the battery it sill did it. Now he uses a program that automaticaly syncs him to the time somewhere else.

Bonnie, it probably is your battery, but I am a tad shocked to hear that a 1 year old computer would be doing that. I've had CMOS batteries live much much longer than that (I am talking many many years). I'll ask around and see if bad batteries are common in HPs or not. Not that an HP is a bad computer, but sometimes certain parts aren't very good and that is found in ALL computer brands. Ask me what happened to my IBM hard drive

Well I need to get moving today. I am meeting Juli (Fire14) for lunch today. I had better get in the shower and get breakfast going :)

Bonnie is a nagger, nag, nag nagger. (don't stop, I want pictures too). Deb, Bonnie is doing the nagging, not me!

Morning all.

Jodie, scout leader extraordinaire! Ta dah! You must have the patience of a saint. (Marilyn thinks of what she can do to test Jodie's patience....hmmmm, the possibilities......)

{{HUGS}} Deb for being such a sweetie. Hope you feel better today. Good thing we have resident nurses, huh?

Jennifer....the battery???? (Hmmm, Marilyn looks for the sliding battery door on her monitor....)

Sherry, loose jeans rock!:bounce: :Pinkbounc I have 2 pair I only wore about twice before they, ummm, shrunk, yeah, that's it, they shrunk. :p I am going to wait another week or two before I try them on. I'll let you know how it goes (or doesn't go :o )

Good Morning Everyone!!!:D
I just went in and created a new countdown clock.....I hope it works!! We rescheduled our cancelled trip!!! YAY!! The only open resort was OKW......I've never stayed there....has anyone here? If so PM me and let me know what you think about it.

The computer break-down had me going crazy! I was actually having to read the book club book I'd been putting off:eek: ;) :p

Deb-I'm sorry that you're not feeling well.

LucyStorm-We are running Windows ME on a computer about 1-1/2 years old. Our clock never loses time but we did have a freezing up problem like your DD. Does she use Kazaa? The computer repair guy said that Kazaa can cause a lot of problems like that.

Morning Elaine and Nancy!

Pam, you dropped by just as I left last night. (Marilyn starts to wonder if that was all planned. Next time I'm gonna say goodnight and then sneat around and fool her.:p )

Marilyn....nope, I can't put Kim on the "definate list" until I hear the words from her....
Oh, all right. Geez Kim, would ya say the darn words already???

Wow, me thinks I should follow Elaine's lead and go shower.....I skeered everyone away.....(Marilyn sniffs the air around her...Gee, didn't think I was that funky.):(

Elaine, enjoy your lunch w/ Juli. :)

DH was having a similar problem with the clock on his PC. We also have an HP.

Marilyn, so that was that funky smell I smelled on the way in here. :teeth: Get in that shower, girl!! :p :p

Pam, glad to hear your friend's treatment went well.

YAY!! Laura's trip is rescheduled!! WOO HOO!!

I have just over an hour before I will need to get ready for lunch, but I will look into HP batteries when I can. It very well might be a "problem area" for HP. And if it is, it isn't a big deal to fix.

I have to admit, I think Kazaa is evil. I know many people use it but my goodness, it can cause trouble and all the spyware that it brings to your computer is awful. Make sure you have a firewall if you do have it. But that is just me and my thoughts on it :)

Sherry, congrats on the loose jeans!!! Feels great doens't it :)

Don't worry Marilyn, this is just diving into the world of "geekspeak" a little. Not even too terribly deep but we'll stop before it gets any worse :p

Laura!!! So happy to hear you rescheduled your trip!!! That is great news!!!!!!!!!

Pssstt Debbie... PICTURES :P

OK Ya Ya's. I actually have been looking at all my uploaded digital pics, and the big problem is that when you TAKE the pics, you are not IN the pics, ya know?

I will get some taken maybe over the weekend and get them up.

--Debster and Bubble Boy--Off to the MALL

Morning everyone. :)

yensid wanders into the club car wondering what happened last night. I vaguely recall what happened, but I think someone spiked my drink. Something about me in heels and pantaloons and.... and... I don't even want to think about the rest of it. Hopefully it was just a dream or I'm sure it chased away all of our customers.

I'm beginning to think HP PCs aren't all they're cracked up to be. Besides the possible battery talk here, my parents just got thru a 3 week fight with HP and Circuit City. The CD drawer on their burner kept opening and closing, over and over. It would stop for a while, then start again. They talked to people at both places, spent hours and hours on the phone w/ tech support, but couldn't get any answers. Everything from "you picked up a virus" to "it's a software problem not covered on your warranty" (the machine is under 1 1/2 yrs old). Long story short, a friend of theirs looked at it and said it's a known problem w/ the HP machines. They took it to Circuit City, had a few choice words for them and a week later it was repaired under warranty. Turns out it was a faulty CD burner.

Um.... what's this with Kazaa? I haven't used it but am thinking about it. Anything I should be aware of before diving in? Any tips are mucho appreciated. :)

I have a question.... Does anyone know of an instant messanger you can use that doesn't require downloading an EXE file? Yahoo, AIM and MSN require installation of an EXE file, but thanks to this work computer, I don't have admin rights to install it. Even if I did, the PC Police take inventory from time to time & would hunt me down if it were on here. I'm on Win2000, just looking for something to use when I disconnect from work. Any thoughts? Again, any tips are mucho appreciated. :)

Ok... I'm off to find some excedrin. I woke up w/ this nasty headache (thanks to the weather... or was it that dream?) that I can't shake. Ick.... Maybe I'll go watch some Bugs Bunny for a while.... :p

Ho hum! I feel another one of THOSE days coming on. :( Why do I get bored so @%#$^ easy!?!?! Tom is gone, Cam has a friend coming over for the day....and other than bill paying, I see nothing but aimless meandering from room to room, and talking to myself in my future today. ARGH! I could sit by the tv and wait for Monday afternoon (Squares) but that sounds completely pathetic, soooo.... I'm thinking.... NO for that particular activity. I wanna... I wanna... hop on a Harley and cruise America's Highways... I wanna feel the wind in my hair and taste the bugs in my teeth, (actually... I guess I could skip that part) I wanna.... I wanna.... geesh.... I don't even know what I wanna do. Oh well... guess I'll settle for putting away the laundry and reorganizing my sock drawer. :(

WHICH... leads me to my next paragraph. Pssst.... remind me to PM you Jodie. The reason I say that, is because I have every intention of PM'ing you but by the time I get done with this post, I'll probably forget. :p

Dingle ball games! Ooooh boy! Good thing you found that Nancy, because GP never did come back after the dingle ball hunt. :( I'm not holding out much hope... something tells me he hasn't found them, or he'd have been back by now. *Sigh* The little outfit is adorable by the way, but I'm afraid it won't fit me. :teeth:

Sherry has loose jeans! Cool! If I don't get to a point where I can exercise again without coughing myself into oblivion, I'm going to have to drag out my fat jeans. :(

debster, I'm so impressed with the way you're coping with this whole tragedy! You're an awesome lady!!

Oh... and Deb? We want pictures!!!! ;)

Did I see our long lost Jennifer breeze in and out of here? Hi Jennifer! I miss seeing you and your girl's smiling faces here. :(

Pam, I just wanted to let you know that your friend is in my prayers... and God Bless you for being such a dear friend to her. :)

Well... guess I should follow Marilyn and Elaine to the shower, then begin my action packed day. I think playing in my drawers will be a good start, but where to go from there? Ooooh! I know! I'll reorganize the condiment jars in the fridge according to heighth and popularity... that should knock off an hour or two, dont'cha think?! :bounce:

Hi Kimmy! Guess what? Yep, time for me to misinterpret your post. :p ;)

Ain't a domesticated life fun?? Sound like we both have the same things planned today! DW is gone all day so I'm flying solo again. Hmmmm... I may stick more stuff out on ebay today. ;) :teeth:

I think you know exactly what I'm going to say here. :p :p :p Showers... playing with your drawers... So there's no need for me to go any further. :p

Bugs Bunny cartoons, here I come! :teeth: Lookie there... a Pepe LePew cartoon is on. Ahhh... ya just gotta love Saturday mornings! :teeth: :teeth:

****VROOM VROOM.....Jodie screeches to a halt on her Harley...yells at Kim to slap on a helmet and hop on her bike!!! We can feel the wind in our hair together woman!!! My Harley is dusty and I would LOVE a travelin buddy!!!!! WOOHOOO!!! Where we goin first??? You choose first, them me!! NO MAPS!! Harley ridin chicks do NOT need maps!!! Boredom is but a state of mind....and we just won't ride thru that state...OK? CMON KIMMIE!!!! Let's ride!!!!um...can we leave after Girl Scouts this afternoon? :teeth: ****

Pssst...Kim...don't forget to pm me!

Uh-Oh Jodie and Kimmie on Harleys, cruising the open road???
Helmets, ladies, don't forget the helmets.

Jay--KaZaA has spyware that you 'get' when you download the program. KaZaA lite does not have so much. DH also downloaded AdAware from Lavasoft, which he runs everytime we use KaZaA, and then we can quarrantine any of the little buggers. There is also another anti-spyware program he just got from PC Magazine, but I am not sure how that one works.

Hey, look, Geekspeak. :teeth:

Morning everyone. Very lazy day here. My mom just called me from Florida (on her cell, since she has free weekends, lol) and the poor dears have no plans today. It's about 70 and sunny.

****VROOM VROOM.....Jodie screeches to a halt on her Harley...yells at Kim to slap on a helmet and hop on her bike!!! We can feel the wind in our hair together woman!!! Can we leave them?! Heck yeah, they're Girl Scouts... resourceful, independent... ya taught'em well Jodie, it's time for them to show their stuff! LET'S ROLL!! Where first? Anwhere, but my sock drawer. *Kim dons her leather boots, and decides she should probably stop somewhere for some leather pants and a jacket... gotta look the part ya know.* Can we change our names too? Ya know... to protect the innocent and all that... besides Jodie and Kim doesn't sound dangerous enough. How about... Ginger and Trixie or Kitty and Bubbles or sumpin'? :teeth:

I think you know exactly what I'm going to say here. Showers... playing with your drawers... So there's no need for me to go any further.

Bugs Bunny cartoons, here I come! Lookie there... a Pepe LePew cartoon is on. Ahhh... ya just gotta love Saturday mornings!
Does anyone else find it rather amusing that he jumps from drawer playing and showers to Pepe LePew and Bugs Bunny without so much as batting an eye? :teeth:

Pssst...Kim...don't forget to pm me!
See?!? I did!! Argh!

Kimmie, I am with Jodie, get out and have a blast with her!!!! You'll love it and you know it :teeth:

I think Debbie gave great advice on Kazaa. After having so much trouble with Napster where I worked (Ohio State) I never even wanted to get into all that. Computers were getting hacked left and right due to all that you could do. My brother has other sources for music or we will go to mIRC to get files from others and then it all goes to my brother's server so we take our music selections from there. I have adware as well and use it even though I don't go to places like Kazaa becuase nasty files are all over the place.

If I were in Florida right now and it were 70, I would be out having a blast!!! It's not quite 40, raining and very foggy here

Kim & Jodie on Harley's?
Watch out everyone!! :teeth:

Jay, I use Trillian for my IM. I am not sure if its an EXE or not? It is all the chat programs in one and I love it.

Kim, I have some chores around here you could do if you are still bored. :teeth: :teeth:

We use Kazaa Lite, too. Haven't had any trouble.

Wow!! I got a "morning" before I even showed up :teeth:

Good morning everyone.
Laura has a new trip planned :bounce:
Deb have fun donating........and using your GC.
Elaine have a fun lunch.
Sherry has lose jeans! :) Mine aren't. I lost 15 pounds and they still fit the same :( Oh well, I won't give up.

I'm on my second HP computer. We've had them for about 8 years. Never had a problem with the clock.
Just like all things, sometimes a bad part slips in.
I'm also running ME, which can be a pain.
This computer did have the video card go out after only a year.....but that's the only problem I've ever had.

Quiet day here. I think DH wants to rest..........although he said something about getting the oil changed in his truck.
