Well folks, that's us back after 2 fabulous weeks in the sun.

Just to explain, we have nicknamed Mollie, the Wrigglemonster as anytime she had to wait, whether it be on the bus, plane or to meet characters, she would wriggle like mad. The 'Nehmaw' is actually how she says 'Nemo'. She seems to have all of a sudden become a big fan of Nemo on this trip and for the first time managed to say Nemo, or something that resembles it! :D

The Cast

Matt (23) - Me, in charge of taking photos of every single thing I see! Refilling the mugs and planning our attack for the parks!

Mallinda (28) - My wife and the keeper of the Wrigglemonster!

The Wrigglemonster (1) - Mollie, she's a force of nature. Nothing can stop the Wrigglemonster...oh and she likes Nemo and Playhouse Disney!

We leave our house at roughly 6:30 am to head to the airport for our flight that doesn't leave till 12:15pm! Ah well, we're on holiday, better get the most of it. :D

Obviously, arriving rather early at the airport, we decided to head for a Costa, where a 'not a morning person' me:

has a Mocha, and an oddly absent from early morning photos, Mallinda has a Latte.

The Wrigglemonster has her usual:

We sit and watch a bunch of business types come through the UK arrivals, pretty much everyone with a Blackberry permanently attached to their hands. After sitting for a bit, we decide to head over and see if we can check in - not a great idea as I can't seem to push something (luggage cart, pushchair etc) and have a drink in one hand...this was no different and part of my Mocha was subsequently launched over my jacket that was lying on top of the luggage cart :o:

We approach the Continental desk and are the second set of passengers to get checked in. As we we're waiting we gradually realise that we're the only people on the flight with a child, let alone a baby!
We managed to check in at about 8:45am, so we managed to check in 3hrs and 30 mins early, which gave us plenty of time to look around the Duty Free and get something to eat.
So we head upstairs at Edinburgh to the Gestapo, er...security check point ;) and get through with relative ease.

And it's off to Wetherspoon's for breakfast. What with it being Arthur Guinness's 250th Birthday, I feel that I should celebrated:

While Mollie and Mallinda tuck in to Mallinda's breakfast:

I just had a bacon roll which I didn't really eat as was too excited waiting for the flight. Mallinda has to use the restroom so I sat Mollie on my knee whilst she went - baby in one hand, Guinness in the other...the PC brigade would have a field day with that one!

Imagine my joy when I hand the Wrigglemonster back to Mallinda and realise she has had a wet nappie...whilst sitting on my beige shorts! :mad2: So I race off to the nearest restroom pulling my t-shirt down to cover the damp patch - this wasn't just a small patch. It was practically the size of the Seven Seas lagoon!
So I reach the restroom and wahey! the disabled toilet is free. I don't have to stand the embarassment of dancing up and done in front of the hand dryer in front of other people.

With me dry as Jack Dee's humour, I set off to find the family. We load up with sandwiches and sweets for the flight and walk round to our gate where there is a child's play area, if you can call it that (at least the Wrigglemonster enjoyed it).

And she poses for a photo (notice Mallinda trying to restrain the Wriggle and the Jiggle :D )

Continued...

As we sit in the departure lounge, I realise that we are the only people with any children, let alone a baby on the flight - which is made obviously clear to us by the amount of people walking past and rolling their eyes as the notice the Wrigglemonster.

So we board and on the whole, our Wrigglemonster is actually fine on the flight, even going as far as to sit on Mallinda's knee for a bit just chilling:

And she is rather entertained by the other passengers:

Again constant rolling of the eyes by a number of passengers and tuts - she wasn't even bad on the flight.

Anyhoo, we land at Newark and realise we're on the wrong side of the terminal that we need to be on, which means getting a monorail - it's like being at Disney already! :D

So we head through immigration which goes surprisingly easily. The immigration officer is neither too nice or too nasty and we're through with relative ease. After that, we are now ON AMERICAN SOIL!!!!!! Woohoo!

So we decide to go get the Monorail and oddly I don't have any photos of that, but I did take a photo of the New Jersey / New York subway system!

Again, the monorail takes a matter of minutes and we're on the other side of the terminal. We take a walk outside to phone my mum and dad to tell them we're in the country and the heat is belting down in Newark so retreat back inside and head through security, again!. With it being late afternoon, it takes sometime to get through it, but again no issues.

Once through security, we decided to head for our McD's before the flight.

Connecting flight was nothing special - although it did have the new DirectTV system whereby you swipe your credit card and for $6 you get access to a ton of cable tv shows and movies. Fine for a longhaul, but a bit pointless on a 2hr flight.

Land at MCO and AGAIN! we're on the wrong side of the terminal so we head over to the correct side, via Monorail (this really is like Disney!) and check in for the Magical Express. By this point, we are broken parents - if you just touched us, we'd collapse in a heap on the floor - the Wrigglemonster, she's just getting started :D

Bus trip takes about 30 mins to POR, we arrive, check in and are out cold near enough as soon as we're in the room.

Sorry if this seems a bit rushed, but the first day isn't too exciting and I realise we don't have much photos for this day.

great start to your reports, you did well going all that well with a small child and a wriggly one at that :rotfl2:

Great start, I love your sense of humour. Am looking forward to the next report.:thumbsup2
