Another update.

Love it that DD still needed that Mommy touch on Space Mtn.

Tea Cup pics are some of my favorite to see but I do not ride it.
Tried it once.
Took me an hour to feel normal again.

I'll have to "hire" someone to take pics of DD and DS when they ride on our next trip.
Hey, do you plan on going again....maybe around Sept.08....you can be the one.

What is it about those darn teacups? I always feel the need to do them and yet I feel awful coming off of it! Part of the Disney experience I guess!

Heck, I'll come and take pics in September for you!

She looks like she LOVED the ride That's what Nara looked like after her first time on it. I was worried about having to sit solo too, but she loved it

Belle did LOVE Space Mountain. I was glad she worked up the courage to do it because she loves it in Disneyland and I knew she'd be disappointed if she didn't do it here.

Ummm....well....I am on day 3 of the park but it took 2 days to get there so....technically day 5!

What a wonderful update. I can't tell you enough how much I love all your pictures. Your whole family is so beautiful. Your children have the warmest smiles. I am so glad Belle liked Space Mountain and your Tink is a good photographer.

I am feeling better, thanks Sooze. I am happy with how most of the Photopass pics turned out. We have a few duds though. Oh well, when you take over 400 some are bound to turn out!

Chapter 20 - Feed Us!

Tonight dinner was going to be at Tony’s. I know it is not a popular choice but we have eaten here before and had a good experience and it was one of the few ADRs the HG actually expressed any sort of interest in so Tony’s it was.

Plus I made this ADR I did it with a plan in mind. Or at least I had a plan that I was hoping would pan out.

Don’t ask me what time our ressie was - I have no idea but I had planned it out with the hope that we could watch the Spectromagic parade while we had dessert.

I did get the right time but would we get lucky enough to be able to be seated out on the little patio so we could watch it? After all there are only about 5 or 6 tables out there and with it being free dining time and all what were our chances?

We showed up about 15 mins early and I put in my request to be seated outside.

“If you request a certain table it will be at least an hour wait.” was the response I got.

“Never mind then”

We waited about 10 mins and we were called to our table....

Any guesses where it was?

That’s right!

Outside!

Woohoo!

It so nice to sit out there and watch everyone strolling by. The sun was starting to go down which makes it the perfect time to start taking pictures so what did I do - I started snapping of course!

Look how nice it was out there!

Handed the camera over to HG so I could prove I was there too!

We ordered our meal and I took the girls inside to see the Lady and the Tramp statue by the fountain. The picture didn’t turn out great but you can see it there anyways....

The the food came.....and I took pictures of some of it again!

Salad - yes I know its upside down but I don’t feel like trying to flip the pic in photobucket. Never seems to work for me when I try to do it anyways....

And I am missing one meal....I have no idea what it was or who ate it either.....oh well....we all pretty much shared everything anyways!

Tink was so thrilled to be eating where Lady and the Tramp did the spaghetti thing that she wanted to do it too so here it goes....

The sun had gone down by now and the parade was about to start. Poor Tink was getting cold so the waiter did what he could and brought us a bunch of napkins to wrap her up! I thought it was nice of him to try to do something for her....

Then came the parade......my pictures really suck though. Sorry about that!

It was a great spot to watch the parade from! Sure there were people in front of us - you can see their heads in my pics but we were up above them so they didn’t spoil the view at all!

And plus we sat there drinking coffee and eating this.....

So it couldn’t get much better if you ask me!

Back to the Tony’s haters.....we loved it there! So HA to you all! The food was good and the service was great. Our waiter was really wonderful and he asked if we were going to stay for the parade near the beginning of our meal and he timed it all out perfectly for us.

So Tony’s gets a big thumb’s up from all of us!

We’ve had a long day by this point but it has been great and there is one more thing we need to do today before we head back to the hotel......

You're pictures look like they were professionally done. They came out soooo good. The Lady and the Tramp spaghetti pic is an instant classic.

Your mojo is working overtime. You got great seats for the Parade...it's not a Dream, but may as well have been..!!! Score for you.

Great update. Looks like a great seat for parade. I guess I would eat at Tony's if I were lucky enough to eat outside during Spectromagic. But my DH is italian and if the food is nasty he will surely notice. He hated Mama Melrose when we did the FDP.

I love Tony's too! We've only been there once, in 2004 on our last day in the parks. We were *hangs head in shame* walk-ins! But they seated us in about 35-mins (it was quite late afternoon) and it was FAB. We all loved it, the boys loved their spaghetti and meatballs and that's what counts hey! I got the breadsticks appetiser too - yumm!
Now reading your report, I can't decide whether to try and get an ADR for Tony's or not... we are 118 days out so a bit late, but still possible maybe?
But we have an early dinner ADR at Libery Tree Tavern as we do like to try different things!
Anyway, sorry to waffle - looking forward to the next update.

I haven't braved the teacups since I was a kid at DL, it is a real stomach churner for me. I would honestly rather ride Mission: Space And PhilharMagic - yay! My new favorite attraction at Disney

The fam pics were great and the food looked good, although the upside down salad was a bit disorienting - lol Awwww, that was very nice of your waiter to wrap Tink up with the napkins when she started getting cold And thank you for the good review of Tony's - I wanted to go there but got scared away by the bad reviews, but I LOVE Italian ...even if it is "Americanized Italian". I'll make a rese there next time

The food wasn't nasty but it certainly wasn't authentic italian so he'd probably be disappointed but really, you can't beat it for atmosphere and the service was fantastic! We didn't do Mama Melrose but I've heard it wasn't very good.

Hey Scott! I'd definately recommend Tony's. I know it isn't everyone's favourite but we really liked it and you can't beat the view for the parade! The spinach and artichoke dip was great!

Hey Mr. Mustard! Thanks for your kind words. I am doing much, much better these days. Went and visited some friends and it was just the time I needed to relax and re-group.

Belle was very funny about the "hang onto me Mommy" on Space Mountain! Wasn't sure what to do about it!

What is it about those darn tea cups that is so hard on the tummy once you pass about 13 years old? They are the worst ride in that place and yet I feel the need to do it every time I am there!

Yep, you should do Tony's next time - even the upside down salad was good! Maybe you'll get lucky and yours will be the right way up!

Hi Shmu! If your DD is that against italian food - skip Tony's! Although I would hardly consider it italian....sort of wanna be italian!

We had our ADR for 1 hour before the parade time and showed up 15 mins early to put in our request. And we got lucky! Our waiter asked right at the start of our meal if we were going to stay for the parade and timed the meal perfectly for us so we were having desert as the parade was going by.
