The Blue Flag Resort Boats still operate between the three resorts on Bay Lake, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary Resort and Ft. Wilderness Campground. The smaller Motor Launchs are still used between the resorts.

Are there rails on the lower bunks? I am desperately trying to talk myself into upgrading to WL for our Sept trip and would want bed rails on the lower bunk for my 2-yr-old. If not, could they be put on the lower bunk?

Over on the Wilderness Lodge Photo Thread DisneyNDecember posted this photo of the new Buck Beds while the lower bunk doesn't have rails it is lower to the floor and you could put the bed rails on very easily.

...there's that Beckster that I know - always thinking of EVERYTHING! :thumbsup2

We are staying at the WL for a week in October. This is our first trip to Disney. I will have two kids age 7 and 11. I have booked a courtyard view bunk bed room. We are now considering upgrading to the concierge level but were wondering if it's worth the extra expense. I understand there is value in having the food and drink available in the club, but what else about concierge really makes it worth the added expense?

While I love staying Club Level and the Cast Members are wonderful. The worth of the added expense can only be measured by you and your family. :confused3 Read on page one about half way down on the first post it explanes all that the Club Level (concierge) offers. Some trips I book Club Level other trips I don't at $80.00 more per night you would want be sure it's right for your family.

Thank you so much for your response. I called reservations and asked about the price difference. I think we would be willing to pay for it, but they said they can't guarantee a bunk bed on the concierge level. I am currently booked into a courtyard view with bunk beds. When I asked about my current reservation they said I definitely had the bunk beds guaranteed. I don't know why they can guarantee them with the courtyard view and not the concierge. It seems odd to me. She said I can request it and they do what they can to honor the request, but my kids really don't want to share a bed and I don't think I want to risk it. It's a shame. To complicate matters worse, when I looked on the website it said that all rooms contain one queen and one bunk bed when I chose the club level w/ concierge.

Hi, maybe I can help.

For the Woods View and Courtyard View rooms, bunk beds are now a separate "priced" category (i.e., Woods View 2 Queens Beds Room, Woods View Bunk Bed Room, Courtyard 2 Queen Beds Room, Courtyard Bunk Bed Room). You are actually paying more for your bunk bed room than if you would have picked the 2 queens.

I'm not sure why they don't have a separate category for bunk beds but if they did you would have to pay more than if you would have reserved a 2 queen beds room. But, as of now, the bunk beds are just a request on the concierge level.

Now, although they cannot promise you that you will be granted your request, I do know that the cast members up there do their darndest to fulfill anything request you have (within reason ;) ). I also know that there are only a handfull of bunk bed rooms on that level.

If you think that it would be worth the price and then take the chance. If you do book, when the IPO contacts you, make sure you say that you would like to request bunk beds and that you two kids don't like to sleep in the same bed. That might help. :goodvibes

Thank you so much Jeanne. That was very helpful and now I understand why they won't reserve the bunk beds on concierge. I think I will leave it up to my kids on this one. If they are willing to take the risk of having to share a bed for the upgrade, I'll go for it!

Ok...I have a question for anyone here.

I was just looking at my reservation. I have booked the club level for two nights before we head onto SSR.

My reservation reads: Club level (JD)....what the heck is the JD....I'm thinking I should know what this means...but I'm blank.

thanks to all :)

Hi there,

JD just means Club Level Concierge :)

DW and I have been hoping to get a room in WL for our trip this coming December, but the only thing available during the first two weeks is club level - no regular rooms at all! We spend almost all of our time in the parks so we wouldn't get to enjoy a club level experience, so it would just be a waste for us. I'm going to keep checking back as often as I can in case something opens up. Until then we are registered for POR, as we haven't stayed there before either and have enjoyed walking around it. But there is no substitute for the magical feel of the WL around Christmas. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

If anyone decides to cancel a WL standard room for early December PM me! :)

OK, it's Golf4food's fault...I went over to WDW website and started playing around with dates in December and ended up booking Decemebr 12-18, 2008. I wasn't planning on a December trip this year.

Jeanne do you want to come play?

Glad I could help. Do I get a commission? Haha. ;)

What room level did you find on those dates?

Golf4food

They had every room type availible during the dates. Standard-Club Level.
Once AP or Floridia Residence rates come out I'll call and have the discount added to the reservation, if they are availiable.

Well, we just got back from another incredible anniversary trip to the Wilderness Lodge!!!:cool1:
This was our 8th stay there in 4 years and I tell you...it gets better each and every time. Every cast member we encountered was wonderful! We were booked in a woods view and were upgraded to courtyard:goodvibes
Also, without even asking we got turndown service each night of our stay!! We also got balloons, a card from Mickey and a picture of the castle wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Mousekeeping was great!! Transportation was also very good!! Love that direct boat from WL to MK!!
If anybody has any questions, I would be happy to try and answer!!!

Okay, I have a question on the boats and the monorail.
I have read on page one that I can take the blue flag motor launch to the CR. I can then get on the monorail to the park. (I just think it would be nice to take a monorail to a park once.)
My question is, Will the blue flag boat be running early enough that I can take it to the CR and then hop on the monorail and get to Epcot before AM EMH start? If not, no big deal we can take the bus. But I just think it would be neat.
We are taking the Red flag boat to the MK a couple of days. Maybe taking the monorail back a night.
Thanks for your input.
