The Wilderness Lodge FAQ (Part 6) Simbas and Tiggers and Humphreys OH MY!

Thanks for the responses. Having the interaction be a bit more low-key is fine with me as I'm not much of a morning person anyway.

Glad to hear about the eggs. I just figured I would get the skillet because I would happily eat the bacon, biscuits and gravy on it and would just need egg whites. Thanks for making me feel better about this. I'm looking forward to trying out this restaurant!

We are staying at WL and everyone keeps telling us we just **HAVE** to eat at WCC because it is so fun. I keep reading reviews talking about the horrible food and service so I'm getting concerned.

We are planning to eat here our last morning for a late breakfast and I have a few questions.

1) How is the breakfast food?
2) Will they do special order eggs on the skillet - i.e. I don't eat yolks or egg beaters and need egg whites only?
3) How's the interaction?

We didn't have breakfast there, however we did have lunch and dinner. The lunch menu more suits my taste than the dinner menu. I have enjoyed the food and atmosphere, especially with the kids. Make sure you ask for ketchup and any color crayon you are missing. :rotfl2:

Could someone help explain some of the transportation options (best routes) from WL to the parks. I'm taking my wife on her first trip to the world in September & we're staying at WL.

Is taking the boat to the Poly & hopping on the Monorail a decent way to get to Epcot? Is it any faster than taking the busses?

Any info would be great, thanks in advance!

Yup. Democrats and Republicans both get an elevator at Wilderness Lodge. :thumbsup2

The one in the left wing is not too far down the hall from Roaring Fork.

LOL!!! Right, I used that to go to the laundry room one night. You have to walk out to the pool passed the Roaring Forks then. I think there is another set even further down that wing as well and there is a door there as well that isnt' too far from the baby pool.

From WL to MK, take the boat.

From WL to Epcot, you can take the boat to CR, boat to MK then the monorail from either of those. OR you can take the bus from WL to Epcot.

To Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom or Downtown Disney the easiest way is to take the bus directly from WL.

Just wondering ....if I do all my "homework", then what's a "good" rate I may be able to get under rack rate for Value Season? - looking for Feb 2009. Is that possible, or am I just wishing? ;)

I think the bus is the best option for Epcot. The monorail takes a lot of time IMO just from the monorail resorts. I can't imagine adding in a boat ride as welll.

I was thinking there must be one in the middle of the wing, but I can't recall ever taking it even though we were near the Bay Lake end of the north wing a couple of years ago. But I remember the one from the middle of the south wing from last year. :confused3 Thanks for clearing that up!

Thanks for the help, it's good to know there's a bus service.Think i'll take that advice and ride the boat back to WL at the end of the day!

Just need to figure out which room type to go for now!

Hey all! I have a few questions about the Deluxe rooms at WL. To be honest, someone may have already brought this up on this thread, but I didn't have time to sort through 109 pages!!
I will be traveling with 5 ppl, which is one of my main reasons this room interests me. I've been trying to find info about this room, but not a whole lot exists it seems. What does it mean that it is 'club level'? What does that include?
Have any of you all stayed in a deluxe room? I did manage to find the layout, which looks great- perfect for us. And another plus is that it's a bit cheaper than trying to rent points for a 2 BR villa or paying for 2 regular rooms.
So if anyone has any info on this room type, that would be great!! Thanks!
Megan

What do you want to know? My family and I (5 of us total) stayed in a deluxe room, aka Jr. Suite (Room #4000) this past November.

wow guys i was just playing around on disneyworld.com to look at rooms and this is the first time I saw a room called

"Yosemite VP Suite - Club Level "

it cost $810.00 a night to stay there. I could never pay that much for a room. But I am just wondering if anyone has stayed in that room before?
