The Whirlwind Trippers Take a 12 Day Trip - The Husbands Pretrip Report

I am so excited for you and your family. 12 days!!!! I hope you have a wonderful time, enjoy every second of it!

Wow, I wish my hubby was more into Disney. I am just like you, I could live there, and so could my dd. We will be there Saturday for 8 days... YEAH. I too have the trick card up my sleeve. My dd3 loves Disney so much. I ask hubby if he wants to go, and he says " Jessica cant we go somewhere else this year????" Then my dd says "Daddy pease can I go see Mickey at Dizzy!" (sp the way dd says it--to cute) After she says this she gets the puppy dog look going on.... WINS HIM OVER EVERY TIME!! Hahaha. She is such a daddys girl anyway! Great to have that card up your sleeve!!! :rotfl2:

Hope you all enjoy your trip! I know we will love ours.. (I think my DH really likes Disney. He is a manly man, and thinks that admitting it will make him look childish !) Well I am a child at heart, and always will be :goodvibes

Usually our conversations start off like this: It's Friday morning at 7 AM...

Me: "Hey, we don't have anything until Sunday morning. We could drive
down, be in the magic tonight, eat at Boma's (awwww yeah!) Wouldn't
that be great?"

Her: "Your nuts. Get up so DS won't be late for pre-school."

Me: "But wouldn't it be so much fun?"
Her: "Sure it would, but we don't have the money, and I don't want to have
to fool with that right now."

Me: "Just think how cute DS is when his face sees the entrance sign and all
the characters. Wouldn't that be great to see today?"

Now, I do have a secret weapon that's really not so secret. But if I really want to go, I pull out the big guns and that's usually about all it takes. All I usually have to say is "Do you want me to use the weapon?" And she responds by saying, "Don't you dare!"

Me: "I'll tell you what, I'll just ask DS if he would like to go." (By that time she is already thinking about it and secretly wants to go too, but she wants to be all responsible and all.) It's at that point that the smile comes across her face and she starts to laugh. Because she knows that if I mention it to DS, we're going!

Yep, that's pretty much how those conversations go!!

And by the way, it sure must be nice to be sitting at home (with the car loaded) writing a pre-trip report, while your wife slaves away at work...

I love you baby! Good job on your first ever trip report!! See you in a few!

You guys crack me up .... I wish my DH would be more into Disney - but I think I would die if I was at work and saw a post pop up from him.....Have a great time on your trip.....I to have a secret weapon... actually 2 of them - DD(16) and DS(12) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I can't wait to hear all about your trip. I'm also a pastor's wife, and know how hard it can be to get away! I wish we lived a little closer so that I could spring an occasional trip on him! :wizard:
