1 = -$20.
2 = -$20.

1 sells box with $40 in to 2 for $30.

1 - -$20 + $30 = $10.
2 - -$20 - $30 = -$50 + $40 = -$10.

Am I missing something? 2 would be down $10... Is that the joke?

mine is pretty much identical in length. maybe a bit shorter?

1 sells box with $40 in to 2 for $30.

1 - -$20 + $30 = $10.
2 - -$20 - $30 = -$50 + $40 = -$10.

Am I missing something? 2 would be down $10... Is that the joke?

Option A:
2 gets the box with the $40 and 1 gets the $30.
2 spent $30, and got $40 back
1 lost the $20 and got a $30 in return.

or Option B:

It's troll logic. It's not necessarily supposed to make sense.
