So I have to share a funny with you.... I never have cash in my purse, I mean never, maybe some change, but nothing paper... So one day in a store I had to charge like $2.00 and was saying something to the cashier, like "If I can't swipe it, I don't need it" The look on her face made it clear, she thought I was stealing, and I meant, if I could not use my Credit Card I did not need it...

It might be one of those "you had to be there" but the look on the woman's face was priceless..

What kind of real camera....

I saw that because I have so many I never know which one to use..

I have my phone, a Nikon point and shoot, and my Nikon D80.....

So I counted the days... I have 7 more days in the office until the big day, then I will be out until Feb 27.... Hard to imagine..

have fun at the party, I have one Saturday night should be fun!

:thumbsup2

:lmao: at the clerk. Did you tell her what you meant or did you just let her wonder?

The camera is a Kodak point and shoot, it's a good Kodak though. We also have a Nikon something something that we've never figured out. And then I have my Droid. I usually just take pics with my phone and upload them directly to Facebook because it's just so easy, but they look crappy. I've decided to TRY to commit to using and actual point and shoot. :lmao:

The party was fun!! We did the right/left game. Everyone picks a gift from under the tree. One person reads a story about the "Right Family". Every time you hear the word "right", you pass the gift you're holding to the right. Same for the left. Whatever gift you end up with at the end of the story is your gift. I got a cheese plate and knife that are shaped like a red chili pepper. I'm happy!!!

Jen, got my mail yesterday "Howdy"......

Oh it made me miss Texas.... I will be there in 5 days!!!!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Not near us though, right?

Yes! I'm beginnin' to think there's some freaky women in this thread! :lmao:

If TENS units haven't changed in the last decade, all I can say is be careful with those things. Years ago I used one for pain management, it was at the same time we were havin' a pool built. Well, after they sprayed in the gunite, ya have to keep it watered for several days. So after a few days of watering, of course there was water in the bottom of the pool 'n I was standin' in it (like a fool) just waterin' away when I discovered my legs no longer wanted to walk. Luckily, my neighbor man was home in the middle of the day or I'd have been standin' out there for quite some time.

And yes, I actually "knew" better, but it was one of those times I just wasn't thinkin'. :headache: :rotfl:

Thassss my wife. :lovestruc

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have 3 words for all of y'all...
It's vacation, baby!!!!
We had good snacks, I snuck a bunch home. We had our gift exchange. And then I got the heck out of dodge. I am so glad to be home with my family. :goodvibes Merry Christmas everybody!
That wasn't the place I was thinking of....:rolleyes1
Have I ever told you that there is some kind of disconnect between my image of good ideas and reality. How is it easy for some to use the fancy programs on my computer and I just get mad:headache:
I have been sitting here for the last hour trying to get a candy wrapper to print out in the correct size. Something oooh bigger than a mosquito and smaller than an elephant:rolleyes1 I think I am giving up for now.
WFD was sauted chicken breasts and mushroom risotto with brocolli. That I can do no problemo:upsidedow
They have candy wrapper templates for free on several sites on the internet if you do a search.
Yikes! Alan has one for his back, and I had to stop him from getting in the shower with his attached. He was so used to it, he just didn't think. Could have been very interesting!
I don't have a link, but a tens unit is a little device that sends electronic pulses to your body. You put the electrodes around the area (ours has four pads) and you can control the strength of the pulses. It is good for muscle spasms and cramps. We stole her father's unit for Fran when she had her knee replacement. She was having a hard time with the pain and this helped relieve it, you know "ya give it a short, sharp, shock, dig it?"
10 points to anyone who gets that reference!
:lmao:
"To sit in solemn silence in a dull, dark dock
In a pestilential prison with a life-long lock
Awaiting the sensation of a short, sharp shock
From a cheap and chippy chopper on a big, black block!"
The Mikado!!! One of my favorites! I even played Katisha back in the day!
Really ladies!!!! Were none of you hippies? :hippie: Where in the Mikado do they say "dig it?" How 'bout this? another reference from that album, *think British male accent saying both lines* "You know I really was pretty drunk at the time....(woohoo) [sung in the background]" That one is less obcure, that song was definitely a top 40 hit (back in the day :rolleyes1.) I'll give you a clue, longest running album on the Billboard charts.
Longest album continuously in the Billboards.....would be The Wall....unless Adele has replaced it! But as I never really had that album in either DH or my scanty collection, I wouldn' know all the words to all the songs.
What a coincidence and what a miss!!! Hmm....note to self...download The Wall to my iTunes account.
Guess who's got tix for this?
:yay:
I've been wondering if cameras are allowed...
REALLY the WALL? Then it beat out the one that had the previous record....I'll give you another clue....the final quote on the record. "There really is no dark side of the moon, in fact it's all dark."
Oh and BTW when I did a "Programmed Reading" as one of my projects in Speech and Debate Class (I was on the Debate Team for my last three years of HS), my PR came from The Wall. I could probably almost recite the words to almost every song on that album, as well as several other Pink Floyd albums.
EDITED: OMG! I wish Fran were healthy enough to attend or desire to go to Rock Concerts! I would love Love LOVE to see the Wall! I know EVERY tune, the whole story and progression, I figured it out and put together a storyline back in HS when it came out. That's what I did for my PR! I'm so jealous!!!!!! I'd give you my Wicked Tickets to see the Wall!
Morning, everyone!
Today I am running around town picking up the last few gift cards I need to get (Lowe's and such). I was going to do it yesterday but it was so messy and rainy that after I left the mall I said, "forget it," went through McDonald's to get a cup of coffee, and went home. See, when you are in a wheelchair, you get wet. Umbrella or not, that's just the way it is. So I didn't have it in me to get out in it 5 more times. I came home, put my pjs on, and worked on dinner instead, lol.
Scott is a part of a van pool for work. It's about a 45 minute drive and there's quite a few people that drive from Cleveland, so he joined this van pool. He is one of the drivers. Anyway, one of the passengers gave him a Christmas card and it had a Logan's gift card in it so that's where we're going today.
I got some wrapping done last night and hope to get some done today. I am WAY behind! I've also got to go pick up my Christmas cards so I can get them in the mail. Shannon- I apologize ahead of time if mine doesn't make it on time :blush:
Have a great day, everyone!
Good morning!
IT IS SNOWING! Though it won't last the day. We are having the most mild weather so far.
Today is the day I get Mr A out of the house to finish his christmas shopping:worship: We will grab something out for dinner.
Tomorrow I will start my cookie baking.
Jen I was trying to print out a wrap for Tic Tac boxes. I think I will make them something else. I will look for a design I can transfer to labels and just stick those puppies on. I wanted a little something for the people I work in the office with.
Lindsay It is too bad no one has figured out a way to attach an umbrella to the back to keep you a little dry. They have stuff for strollers why not wheelchairs.
I better review my list and get ready for the marathon shopping today.
Have a Great day:hug:
Cell phone camers don't flash. :rolleyes1
I'll take the Wicked Tickets. I have nothing to give in return though. :lmao:
Enjoy your dinner, honey! :hug: And I don't blame you for not going out in the rain!
Janice, on Pinterest they do have some links for some decorations for Tic Tac boxes. Here's one:
I think these are so cute! Not sure if this is what you're looking for, though.
Good morning. I'm not awake. :lmao:
Today will be nothing but vegging, relaxing, reading, searching the net, and watching TV. Because I don't want to do anything else. :lmao:
I'm in the middle of the Sookie Stackhouse series and am thoroughly enjoying myself. So, I hope to finish that over the break.
Tonight's dinner is chicken piccata...a recipe I've found on Pinterest rather than the one I love that UncleR makes that has the tomatoes in it. We figured we'd give ourselves something to compare to. We'll see how it goes!
:hug: Everyone have a great Saturday!
