The What's for Dinner Thread- June 2012 (recipe index in OP)

tonight David and I are out to see Million Dollar Quartet, so we will be eating at the Alewife restaurant, and I will be having Duck Fat Fries with Cheese curds...

SO much for the diet thing huh...

BTW, David is down 21 pounds and I am at 18.

Congratulations! :thumbsup2

This was dinner from last night.

I have a great MiddleEastern place near me and they make a good plain pizza base. I always get some to freeze as it means that there is a backstop dinner option for those nights we can't be bothered cooking properly (there have been quite a few of these nights lately).

Aside from the tomato paste, I had ham, cheese, olives, feta and (homemade) roasted red capsicum/bell peppers on mine.

We had venison tenderloin tonight. Cut into 1" thick rounds & wrapped in bacon from a local butcher. We soaked them overnight in Buckhead marinade and then I grilled them over charcoal & mesquite. Topped with hand-churned butter with garlic, cayenne, and some other seasonings mixed in. Sides were a salad & baked potato :thumbsup2

yep we cook prime rib for Christmas

::yes:: Me too! :thumbsup2

....WFDT? Roasted rack of pork, potato pancakes, and green beans....

That sounds yummy!

I'm going to have to get back into this thread. I already miss my week of almost whatever I want for dinner. We are unpacked and back to reality. Fran is asleep in her chair with Sunny on her lap and for tonight she wants a ham sandwich with potato chips inside. I'm having Stouffer's Lasagne.

Tomorrow though, I think I will get back to cooking. I think I'll make Pork Chops baked with stuffing and gravy. We had our fill of red meat and seafood on the cruise. Today I had chicken for lunch and pork sound good too!

We do that also. Take a break from all the food ans return to the normal everyday food.

Glad you are back safe and sound...

12 hours of standing in a convention, talking about work and giving demo's... Dinner tonight is a 6 pack of beer.

Tonight we are finally having our pork chops over stuffing with gravy and green beans on the side. I am looking forward to it.

Last night we ate Turkey a la King and we were both pretty hungry since we had seconds. That doesn't usually happen around here. Hopefully that is a good sign!

Dinner tonight was sushi. We had take-away as there was an end of year school concert to go to.

Is it January yet?
