The Weekend I met some weird Ip-Dips at WDW. AKA the TR with no pictures

Too funny about the name tag! I remember working somewhere that we needed nametags, and a couple of people decided to trade and be goofy. I wonder if it was something like that?

Of course, Pierre is much more French than Jeff!

The French Lunch sounds yummy, esp. if it was done well. How was the bread? Someone once told me that baguettes outside of France never taste the same because the water is different. I don't know if that is quite true, but I will say that I've never had an American baguette that tasted quite like a French one.

I do know that I've cut back on TR's, mainly because I'm trying to scale back my DIS time. Mainly I just haven't added new ones, but I'm still following a few.

Of course, absolutely no one responded to my almost-a-PTR thread, so I will probably let it die into obscurity...

I am still sick. My head is starting to clear up, but it kicked off my chronic fatigue syndrome. I'll try to keep on this better, but it's been tough, as I've been sleeping 12-16 hours a day.

Where was I???

Ah yes....

DINNER.

HHBG and I headed over to the Yacht Club to meet people for dinner. I was texting Scott to figure out where he was, but I really shouldn't have bothered. As we walked intot he lobby, we saw him there sitting on the couch. We went over, said hi, I introduced HHBG to Scott, and we sat down to wait for Carrie and Steeb, who were on the boat.

We talked for a while, while Scott got worried he was going to lose his ADR, because Carrie and Steeb's boat was taking FOREVER. The hostess at the poduim assured Scott he wouldn't lose his ADR, FINALLY Carrie and Steeb got there, Scott went to check in, we chatted for a while, and the buzzer thingie went off.

We got seated at a long table next to another relatively large group. There was basically no one else in the restaurant. A few other people scattered around, but that was about it. So we sat. And sat.

Fianlly a guy comes up and asks us if anyone has taken our orders. We say "NO", so he takes our drink orders. HHBG, Steeb, and I all got beers, Carrie got a glowtini, and Scott got a rootbeer (Drunk!!).

We waited for another LOOOOOOng time, and the waiter came back with out drinks and to take our orders. Apparently they had to ferment the beers before we got them.

I only have vague memories of what everyone had. I know I had the scallop appetizer for my meal and Carrie had it as an appetizer. I had the iceberg wedge salad for an appetizer, and it was fresh and crisp. Someone had a steak. HHBG had some sort of pasta thing that was also good. I think Scott and Steeb had the same thing.

Whatever it was, everything was good.

A few of us got dessert...ok, everyone but Steeb. We talked and had an awesome time over dinner. It was great, because we had been worried about getting along with people, and it was a wonderful time. HHBG really liked everyone.

Byt he time we were done, it was time to head back. HHBG and I grabbed a cab. We had originally planned on meeting Jodi and Eric for drinks, but they texted me back that they were exhausted, so we went back to the room and went to bed in anticipation fo the Ip-Dip Fry Daddy Dude Fest '08 that would commence at rope drop the next morning.

We've been taking our kids there since our DD was 3 (almost 4) and our DS was 5. They love it as much as we do. We do eat early though. We make our ressies for as soon as they open. We love the FF!!!

Oooh, Good idea! Early dinner, then we can walk around the boardwalk and relax! Thanks!
