Mornin' all... I hope all of you have some fun plans for the weekend and the weather is tolerable for everyone... Looks like our little cool off yesterday (less than 80) was short lived as the next 8 days is 90s across the board.

Today:
pick up exhibits at 9 (fair ends today)
home to clean

each person has a list of chores as I'm tired of playing maid! :)
:laundy: 2 loads left! :woohoo:
work in scrapbook room
file away some more items

Tomorrow:
up and ready for family photos (surprise from DH to me)
out to lunch
school shopping
get ready for busy week - PJ has surgery on Thursday (wisdom teeth)

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Enjoy!

Morning!!

Off to my scrapbooking class in a few minutes. Love trying new things. I will post a picture of the finished product - promise.

Finish cleaning my scrapping room today!! Major accomplishment! :cool1:

Have a great weekend everyone!

This weekend is pretty full. My DH is leaving in a few hours for a boys night in KC about 4 hours from us. They are going to watch a sporting KC soccer game, which he loves. Then tomorrow morning they are playing golf before heading home.

MY DD2 has her softball tournament this weekend. DH went to her first game at 8 before he left, so he could watch her play one game. Then she has one more game today, which I will go to at 2ish. Then tomorrow (Sunday), her team plays until they lose.

I hope to get a little scrappy time, but with no DH and hopefully a lot of ball-we will have to wait and see?

Fingers crossed for a lot of ball games, Michelle! I know scrapping would be fun but the kids love to play ball and they are only little once!!

We have to go back to the fair at 4pm to pick up Thumper! She is so ready to come home.. she has been dealing w/ the poultry on the other half of the barn and the roosters have been going at it! :)

Caroline enjoy the class can't wait to see pics

Game one is a winner!! :cool1: Only one more game for today, fingers crossed. They are actually undefeated this season, but with tournaments there is usually a lot more competition.

Nan, I bet you are going to be glad when the fair is officially over.:rolleyes1

Nan, sure you are happy fair is over....sounds like Thumper is too :rotfl:
hope PJ does well getting her wisdom teeth out....and if the dentist tells her to ice and lay low for 24 hours DO IT, she will regret it if she doesn't...I know because I didn't and passed out, hit the door frame and got a huge knot on my head!

Caroline, yay for getting your scraproom organized, have fun at your class!!

Michelle - WTG for your DD, hope they continue the winning streak!!

Sounds like you all have fun weekends planned. - even haying brings with it a sense of accomplishment, even though it's hot hard work.

Our garage project is winding down - looks FAB-u-lous. I told dh if it had AC, I would move out there! Yesterday was a 70th birthday party for a neighbor. It was fun to see folks we hadn't seen for a while, but both dh and I get overwhelmed by crowds we can't think of anything to say. Usually count the hours until we can escape.

Caroline, waiting impatiently to see your project! Good job on cleaning out the scraproom.

shaping up to be another gorgeous day here. love lower humidity!

Happy Sunday

toady was yet another library meeting our plan to move forward was squished by FEMA changing their minds and are now willing to by the land we wanted which the town will get for free eventually. So the selectboard put a hault on the design process because of that. :badpc::badpc: I want to hit someone I'm so mad. So it's back to the drawing board so to speak. 1 Selectboard member is on vaca, 2 will be there that will go with what ever we want, 1 is out of town, 1 will change his mind if enough are staring at him and 1 is totally against anything to do with us. The last member can't promise anything she loves option 2 and wants it but......

So it's not 12 and I'm ready to say it's 5 oclock somewhere but instead it's back to the hay field maybe or maybe a nap.

Hope you all have a great sunday.

Linda sounds like a nice party

Ended up taking 3rd in the softball tournament. Not too bad! DD2 hit her first homerun, so she was pretty happy about that :cool1: It was a good time, but HOT!!!! Think we will go take a dip in the neighbor's pool.

I'm home
sounds like everyone but Christy is having a good week-end
Christy - good luck with FEMA, whatever are they going to do with that land??

today is land low - DH is laying on the bed so I don't think I'll get any scrapping done

Christy sorry for the continued problems with the library, keep up the fight! good will win out in the end!

Michelle, congratulations to your DD on the homerun and taking 3rd

Hey ladies!

More of the same for me. Moving.

Counters turned out decent. Have a few spots to fix at some point later on. After the are usable.

Trying to get the last stuff out of the old house and into the new. Will start unpacking sometime soon.

Dbf kept me up all night with his exhausted snoring! Ugh! Running on empty for sure!!

So appearently for how much you can trust fema they have recieved more money. anyone who applied to the Hazzard mitigation program is now approved. the land directly behind the present library applied they were commercial so bottem of the list but now who wants to spend 250,000 for it when they (the town) will get it for free but it will be useless per fema regs. Part of this land is above flood plane and we were looking at buying that and moving the original building and adding on. it all comes down to polictical BS which I have no tolarence for. I finally lost it with the 2 that were there today and told them that for the last 11 months Tom and I have lived, breathed and ***t that library I would like my realationship back with my husband. Pick and plan and lets go If the board would get off their collective butts we could have the old part open within months. do the addition in the spring after a winter of fundraising (that we actually don't need to do cause this plan is under the 750thousand cap). its just hogwash and I for one am ready to bring a lawsuit against them for stalling (not that it would work) but if the library board were to do it the town has to pay for both lawyers!!!!!!

Woohoo for the homerun that awesome!
Reddy yeah for laying low I love those days.
Rachel hopefully tonight you'll be so tired you can sleep through the snoring. Hang in there moving stinks but just think how nice it will be when it's done!!!!
Lisa I sure hope so.

:wave2: all!

We are home safely! The kiddos had a great week but I am exhausted!

Christy, keep up the fight with the library! Hope it gets smoother soon!

Nan, hope PJ does well with her surgery! Wisdom teeth removal can be painful!

Rachal, good luck with the move!

Michelle, congrats to DD for her softball tournament!

I am off to bed after I catch up a bit here.
