Slug Saturday around here. DH and I were up early so we went out for breakfast and then drove to South Beach to go for a walk along the beach boardwalk. We saw Martha Stewart leaving the W hotel and heading for a car...tried to get a pic with my phone, not a great shot. No pic and no holidays tips, hahaha!

Dad is back home after his toe amputation yesterday. Dr. said this would take longer than last time to heal, more like 4-5 months. He has to keep his foot elevated at all times, no driving, no walking and if he has to walk to get from chair, to bed to bathroom, he has to walk on his heal. Sadly, if he gets another infection on that foot, they will amputate below the knee next time. Dr. wants Dad to get a gastric bypass or lap band (Dad is 6"0 and 275) but at age 75, I don't see that happening. He also wants Dad to stop driving because he has neuropathy (no feeling in his feet) but Dad has had that for over 10 years and I don't see him quitting driving either. Sigh!

Anyway...live moves on. Gonna scrap here in a bit as Dh will be watching football...

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Becky
