The Weekend Grind 1/17-1/18/2015

Good Morning - Happy Saturday!

Is it a three day weekend for everyone? Hope so! Joe is off Monday

Joe and I have been up since 5am, of course we went to bed at 8:30, haha! After a couple of stressful days we were exhausted and I never did get my nap in yesterday.

Kitty Boodles is home and doing well. Vet said he believes she is in the early stages of diabetes and she responded very well to the insulin yesterday. She looks so much better too! We just have to control her feedings now, once in the morning and once at night - no more leaving the bowl out for all day grazing. We give her insulin within 30 minutes after eating her meal. He said she has a god chance of going into remission so that is good news! We'll bring her in next Friday morning for fasting blood work to see how she is doing. Her tooth extraction will be rescheduled in another 3-4 weeks.

Joe and I are having some fun today - bought tickets to the Florida Keys Food and Wine Festival down in Islamorada. It's right along the water and today's high will be 75! Gonna be a great time!

Wish I had a 3 day weekend. You all are so lucky. Praying everyone is staying warm and snow free.

Busy day today. DH was gone over night so I am going to try to be productive before he gets home.

Make soup- cheddar potato and chicken corn chowder. Done
Make bread - poppy seed and pistachio. Done
Make egg muffins for grab and go breakfasts. Done
Laundry - working on it
Brush the dog. Done
Dust main floor
Declutter as I am behind schedule. Done
Watch the Seahawks Packer game. Go Seahawks, not because I am a fan but because no one in Michigan likes the Packers.
