We are making our first trip to DL. How are the crowds form the thursday before thanksgiving till thanksgiving? Ho do you make a resveration to eat with goofy? Are weekdays less crowded then weekends? I know a lot of questions but have never been to cali or DL. Thanks for your help!!!

We went last year that week. We were at the parks the Sat, Mon, and Tues before Thanksgiving and they were very crowded because California schools were off and the annual passholders weren't blocked yet. We were also there on Thanksgiving Day and the day after. The passholders were then blocked and the crowds were very light. I heard the Sat after was pretty light as well.

That said, if you use fastpass and get to the parks at opening, it should be okay.

I don't have the number on me, but you call Disney Dining to make reservations at Goofy's. I think it's 60 days out, but I'm not sure on that.

We were there Tues, Wed, and Thrus of Thanksgiving week last year. I thought that the crowds were pretty light on average. They were much lighter than a typical summer day. I was actually surprised.

Last year we went Thurs-Mon, Thurs being Tgiving day. :) We didn't have many issues with crowds until Sunday. :)

We were there for Thanksgiving week last year. We were actually in SoCal for the two weeks before Thanksgiving the year before. I think you'll find your first Thursday through Saturday not too bad. Crowds will probably flock in for the late afternoon/evening on the Friday, but things should be manageable. We then found the Sun-Wed crowds to be a little more impressive but certainly not unbearable but felt like the crowds actually decreased once Thanksgiving day arrived.

Probably the weekends versus weekdays won't be much of an issue since so many schools will be out for the whole holiday week. I have sometimes been pleasantly surprised though by how not-crowded a Saturday can seem.

Call Disney dining to make a reservation for Goofy's Kitchen. Also, if you want to eat anywhere special for Thanksgiving, you should call for that as soon as you're able (60 days out), because some of those bookings fill up fast.
