The week before Labor Day in WDW

So, my question to you is what is WDW like the week leading up to Labor Day? We plan to go Aug 29-Sep 5 this year. I know it's going to be hot, but are the crowds still horrible, or is that a week that starts slowing down? I'm just trying to get a handle on things. We are driving this time and we stay offsite, so we'll have a car. If we need to break in the afternoon to go back for a swim or nap, that's fine, I just wanted to get an idea of what to expect.

We went around those dates this year. The actual weekend of Labor Day will be busy but still manageable. The other days should be great. Yes, it will be very hot but just drink plenty of water and use sun block. We also wore hats. We spent a day at a water park which was great. I highly recommend this time of year and will definitely go back. Later in Sept is not an option for us b/c of school so this time frame worked just fine.

We were down the last week in Aug. last year and loved it. It was very hot and muggy but we spent the afternoon by the pool. The Sat. were busy but mid week was pretty empty.
We are actually planning our trip for the same week this year.

What kind of temperatures are we going to encounter? High 90's? Does it rain every day around that time of year? We only got one day of rain last year, but it was chilly since it was in April.

We were there last year, from 8/22 - 9/3.

That is the beginning of "Free Dining" and we found it to be very crowded most days, until after Labor Day.
