The wedding that almost wasn't... a trip report 5/4/07

Wow so sorry to hear it started off to a bad start. Thank god they allowed you to reschedule to Friday, did they try and make you pay more money too like the pepto bewcause it was on a friday?

My, oh my....I can't wait to read more. I'm gad that everyone was so accommodating!

wow! everyone's tuning in for my exciting trip report!!! No one knows how or when he got sick, it was just one of those things and unfortunately just fell on the most inconvenient of days. Disney was so accomodating and it was amazing how everyone was so nice. Juliana was actually going on vacation so she assigned another coordinator, Karen to me for that Friday. Anna had another bride that Friday morning, but came to me right after. The only issues we had were the limo and the flowers. They had to remake my bouquet, so there was an additional charge for that, and since they use an outside limo company, we had to pay for the limo that we didn't use on Monday. But we got to keep the same location (yacht club) just a different time. 10am instead of noon. Fine by me!!!

Continuing on.....

Wednesday May 1st...

Waking up, Drew felt a little bit better but was staying in bed all day. I was itching to go out and about but felt bad leaving him. He told me to get out and go to a park and have fun because he was just going to be sleeping. He hadn't gotten sick since we left the hospital the day before so I felt confident in leaving and knowing that he was only disney transportation away... also we had our cel phones. So I headed out to MGM!

It was really nice out and I headed right for Tower of Terror. Screamed my head off of course and scared the nice gentleman beside me. Sorry sir. Watched the High School Musical show in front of the hat, knowing that I wouldn't want to torture Drew with that later in the week.

After the show a lot of characters came out for pictures. I saw Marie and got into her line. She's pretty cute!

I did a little more walking along, walked past Star Tours which I don't ride because it gives me the  but I did see...

woohoo!!! ok, at this point I started to miss Drew so I called him and asked how he was doing. He said he was ok. I told him I was coming back. I got back to the room about noon and we went to sit out by the pool.

we vegged for the rest of the day and then watched the fireworks from gasparilla that night.

up next... Magic Kingdom! Drew's first day in a park!!!!!

great report! subbing for more... :)

Wow! I can't believe how sick he got! You are always afraid that something will go wrong but I don't think you ever really expect it to be something like that. Thank goodness everything worked out for you though - I guess it always does with love then doesn't it! Can't wait for more!

Wow! What a nerve-wracking experience for you both! I'm so glad that things worked out for you in the end and that you were able to reschedule! Looking forward to hearing more and seeing your photos! :)

WOW!! I'm so sorry to hear about Drew's illness, but I'm so glad that everyone was able to reschedule. I LOVE your TR so far... keep it coming!! :goodvibes

Im so glad that he started feeling better! Thats the first photo i have ever seen with the character 'marie'-- you better hold onto that one! Fans will be looking!
Cant wait for more! Love the photos!

WOW!! I wondered what would happen if something like this happened. Glad to see that disney was able to accomodate you!

I think its cool you were okay with doing MGM on your own for a bit...don't know that I could have done that, but it looks like you had a lot of fun.

Congratulations on finallygetting married! I can't wait to read how it all turns out!

Wednesday May 2nd - Magic Kingdom and Drew's first day in a park ever!!!

Woke up early. We had an ADR for Crystal Palace for 8:25. Not knowing how Drew was going to be feeling I wasn't sure if we were going to go or not. He said that he was ok, so off we went. Here he is waiting for his first monorail ride :goodvibes

We got to MK around 8:00 and walked right in. I was anxious to take some pictures with no one around. Well right at 8:00 there were a ton of people filing their way down main street, so we kind of took our time. I wore my bride ears on this day even though we weren't married yet. I was just excited to wear them!

They were filming a commercial of some sort so of course I had to take a picture! Mickey was handing a Mickey head ice cream bar to a little girl...

Drew was amazed by the castle which was fun! I love that he loved it!

We got to our breakfast and it was very crowded. We were told that Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore would be around but that if we wanted to see Piglet that he would be standing in the middle of the restaurant and we would have to go to him. That was new to me, but I was fine with it. I love me some Piglet!
Our server asked about my ears and we told her about our upcoming wedding. She wished us good luck. We had a good breakfast and towards the end of the meal, our server brought us a cupcake and a certificate. Also another server with an absolutely beautiful voice came over and sang Zip a dee doo dah! It was great!

We went out into the park and started riding the rides. Drew is a natural at Buzz Lightyear! He got over 200,000 on his first ride!

We had a blast and rode Haunted mansion, Splash Mountain (got soaked!!), Pirates, watched Mickey's Philharmagic (my fave!) and rode the carousel.

100_0607.jpg

As we were riding that, I saw the stepsisters! I literally pulled Drew off the carousel to go get our picture taken with them! They were a blast

Drew was getting tired so we went back to the GF to hang out by the pool. It was a good day and he enjoyed his first day in the parks!

Up next... MGM! this time with Drew :goodvibes
