Here it is... Wedding day!!!
Friday May 4th...
I woke up around 5:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I had scheduled a wake up call for 6:45 so I just kind of laid there. Once the phone rang and Stitch and Mickey told me to get up, Drew got in the shower and I got up too. I had showered the night before and washed my hair. I had asked Anna if she liked clean or dirty hair to work with and she said clean. I didn't want to worry about doing my hair the morning of the wedding, so I blew it dry the night before.
Drew started getting in his tux. I was waiting until he left the room to start getting ready. Here he is half in his tux brushing his teeth. It was too cute to not take a pic!
He left the room around 7:45 to go down and wait in the lobby for the limo to pick him up at 9:00. He brought my video ipod with him to keep him occupied. I started my makeup and Anna called at 8:15 telling me she was in the lobby and asked what room I was in. I told her and she said she would be right there! About 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door and there she was. She was so nice and very personable. It's like you are friends right from the get go. I showed her a picture of my trial run, she moved a chair over to an outlet, plugged in her curling iron and off we went! She was so quick and I was so relaxed. It was great. About a half hour later she was done.
She was going to help me get into my dress so I took a last minute jaunt to the bathroom, put on my mascara and got into my dress. Lip gloss on, she walked with me to the limo so I wouldn't feel too silly walking by myself which was very nice! I had worried about that
Walking through the grounds of the GF and then through the lobby out to the front to meet the limo, I was met with little girls gasps and lots of stares. The firsts of many that day! There were 2 limos out in front but there was a gentleman with a sign that said our last names so I walked towards his. Anna gave me a hug, I thanked her for everything and then I got into the limo. With a lot of help. Dresses are huge and difficult to maneuver!
Driving to the Yacht club took about 7 or 8 minutes. I called my mom to say hi. I was excited but not nervous at all. I just wanted to see Drew. Here's me in the limo on the way to get married...
Arriving at the Yacht Club I saw Randy Chapman waiting for me and as the driver opened the door, Randy started taking pictures right away. I couldn't help it, but I started giggling. It kind of felt unreal, like it wasn't really happening. He shook my hand and I immediately had that same sense that I had with Anna, like we had this rapport and I knew that we would get along really well. We got into the lobby of the Yacht Club and there were 3 people standing there. I was introduced to Karen, the wedding coordinator, the violinist (can't remember his name, sorry!), and Reverend Miller. They were all so nice. Randy wanted to take some pictures inside before the ceremony started so we went over to the window and got some shots. Karen came over with my flowers and then said it was time to go outside. She grabbed the back of my dress for me and then off we went.
I remember seeing Drew in his tuxedo as we rounded the corner. I remember gasping. I remember walking up to him and he met me halfway. I remember the look in his eyes as he looked at me and told me I was more beautiful than he had ever seen me look.
We walked up to the gazebo together and Reverend Miller performed a beautiful ceremony. What a great man. I made sure to listen to every word and remember every moment. We had our cake cutting and champagne. The cake was so good!!! They asked if we wanted a piece and we said yes. We sat at the little table they had set up and had a piece of cake. I highly recommend doing this. It was a nice little moment that we had. The violinist was playing, we were eating cake, come on now, what's better?
We started taking a lot of pictures with Randy after that. Together, seperate, by the water, by the sign with our names on it, walking, standing still, kissing, holding hands. Phew! It was so hot out, the sun was blazing, and my dress was so heavy and full on the bottom my legs were sweating. Sorry to share, but it's a memory I have and had to tell.
I had mentioned to Randy that I wanted to have pictures taken at the GF so we packed up and got into the limo and he said that he would meet us there.
we got to the GF and waited for Randy inside the lobby.
About 10 minutes later he showed up and we continuted with pictures. We spent another hour or so there and then we were done

It went so quickly. I can't wait to get the pictures that he took. He is amazing, and incredibly easy to get along with.
For the people that we dealt with on our wedding day, I give everyone the highest of compliments. Anna for my hair was so sweet and kind. Reverend Miller is caring and thoughtful, and Randy, well, I can't say enough and I haven't even seen my pictures from him yet.
up next... wedding day continued... our dinner at 1900 park fare
