...I loved how you had your girls wearing those black dresses. I have been thinking of that- my mom gave me the idea... And what was the cementing of the hands... Who was your photographer?
The bridesmaid dresses were picked out by my sister & her daughter. I hadn't planned on having bridesmaids since I was having a vow renewal, but my sister thought I should have some and lovingly volunteered my niece and my daughter for the job. I thought it was a wonderful idea once she had mentioned it to me.
As to the dresses, I left that decision up to my sister and my niece. I'm very easy-going and honestly didn't care what the bridesmaids wore. But the dress that they had picked out was cute -- very Audrey Hepburn looking. Of course, I didn't see it until after it had been purchased and shipped to my daughter (I live on the West Coast and my sister lives in the Midwest). But, again, I wouldn't have minded anything that they had selected. After 20 years of marriage, the only thing that was important was that they shared my day with me. What anyone wore was insignificant.
Note: You can say things like that when you're in your 40's. It might have been a different story in my 20's.
Since the dinner party for my vow renewal was being held inside the Great Movie Ride, one of the options was what was called a "handprint ceremony." You saw a photo of that in my photo album. There was a cost involved for this but I'm glad I opt'ed for it. It was a fun way to start our evening. Very Hollywood and it fit in perfectly with our dinner party's theme.
I had two Disney photographers for my vow renewal. One of them took standard wedding type of photos (all the portrait shots) while the other one took candid photos (all the spontaneous shots). This is what I wanted and this is exactly what I got. I was beyond pleased with my photos. Disney did a beautiful job with them. I haven't shared very many of those photos, though. Hopefully, within the next few months I will be able to as I begin writing again in my two on-going trip reports (Planning Session trip report and Vow Renewal trip report).
Have fun planning your wedding. The sky is truly the limit with the Fairy Tale Weddings folks. If you can dream it, they can plan it.
