Anyone starting to get concerned? I hope this deep freeze is over in 3 weeks!

I am betting on race start temps in the lower 50's. Should know a little better in about 10 days.

Coach's scenario would be perfect, but yes, I am starting to worry. When the weather in Orlando is making national news, I'm concerned.

If we all survived last January in 25 degree sleet/rain/snow, I have faith that we can all survive this year :)

I would welcome anything but heat. For this Florida girl I am enjoy this break in the heat. 9 more days until I go to NC and hopefully I won't freeze up there just praying for snow while I am there. Then back home for 4 days and then to Disney so if its cold I will enjoy it as I run better in cold than heat.

It WARMED up to the 20's here in Michigan today and felt warm compared to the single digits we've had in the last couple days. I'd be happy with a solid 40 degree F start!

I didn't do it last year. I wouldn't have survived anyway. lol

40's ok, 50's even better, 60's works too but teens and 20s and 30s...ummm, not gonna like it!

The weather. We have no control over it, so no sense worrying about it. If its cold, dress warmly. If its hot, dress lightly. And if its in the middle, use common sense...;)

Fine. Be sensible. ;)

Pffft. Sensible is boring. :lmao: I've had a "Minnie-dot" running skirt in my running clothing drawer for 2 years now that I've yet to wear during an event. It's coming out this year, sleet or no sleet. :rotfl:

Oh wait, I just looked at my photos and I DID wear it during the marathon last year. But over a pair of full tights. :rotfl2:

HEHE!!! I was thinking the exact same thing today! That freezing junk we got Sunday was killer! I would be so happy with 40 degrees too!:thumbsup2

Exactly. Word to the people, I'm a meteorologist and I wouldn't think twice about a weather forecast more than 7 days out. It's a flip of a coin and typically, the weather January 8th and 9th in Orlando is ideal for running. Some will think too hot, some too cold, some just right.
Last year was an extreme weather wise.
Talk to me January 3rd....Good luck with final training!

Oh but it's so fun to get the discussion flowing with the recap of the Accuweather 15 outlook. Definitely the models push to the norm.

Still betting on the lower 50's - just cause statistically I am close to the average and the likelihood of the last couple weeks continuing for another month are between slim and slimmer.

I haven't even looked at the forcast for that weekend actually. I was only saying it because of how cold it is now and am hoping it is gone by then. I am packing warm and cold weather gear so no worries about that. Just thinking outloud is all.

And isn't the "watching the weather forecast an insane number of days out" thread usually the busiest one of the year? What else do we have to do, once we all start tapering? :rotfl:
