The weather outside is frightful....Updated with more pics.....

It is snowing very hard right now...and they say it will continue like this for a few more hours These pictures were taken at 1pm

Will it ever stop snowing this year? Will we ever see Spring? They said next week we will be in the deep freeze again, and snow for Monday Looks pretty though

These were just taken now at 5:15pm the top three pictures are of the same shots above. Then there is our mailbox and lightpost. The next one is of DD measuring with her ruler...yup it is about 1/2 inch over the ruler top, and it is still snowing, though it is slowing down.

They say it is tapering off now, maybe less than an inch left. They also said it would only be 4 to 7 inches too

I know it's frightful to you - but it is also very pretty.

We got a couple of inches of snow through the night - but being on the Western side of Pa., we got off easy this time.

Blame it on that darn Groundhog - he had to go and see his shadow!!

glo, I have a very similar view out of my front door too! The woods behind my house look beautiful with all the snow piling on the branches and sticking to the trunks of the trees

We have at least 10" here right now and it's still coming down fast and furious!

This is just plain nasty!
while we are only supposed to get 5-7(recently upgraded), I easily have 8 inches on my deck railing, and we still have quite a while before this ends. YUK!!!!!!! Of course, as of this morning they were saying 3 inches here, so that makes it so much worse.

Looks the same down the road! School was dismissed at noon. DS8 was tripped by a class-mate on his way to the hall to wait for the bus. He ended up in the nurses office where he got to put ice on his nose. He has quite a bump on the forehead! While he was with the nurse he missed the bus! DH had to leave work to go get him...he said driving was the pits!

1 - 3 inches an hour expected. Blah. Very heavy out there now.

I always love it when we get a snow storm or two in the winter! I love to hunker down and snuggle into the house with a warm fire and know that I don't have to go out anywhere, because I can't! We used to have a lot of those kinds of storms, but the last few years have been light for storms around here!

We DID have an air temperature of -15 this morning though!!! I think the windchill was only -28 because we didn't have much wind.
