The "We have one whole year to wait" Now a Trip Report

Ok - so I have 2 questions. How do you do the reply post where you quote a whole bunch of people at once? Can't figure it out. And how do make a link in words instead of saying www.whatever? (Like you have in your index in your trip report Shmu.)

Well, Mr. Ephraim is a bit cranky because he's so exhausted but he won't lay down to go to bed - but is sleeping soundly as long as he's nursing. So since I'm stuck in the seated position for a bit (I am talented enough to nurse and move around, but my arms and back need a break) I thought I'd share abnother Disney story. My mom bought us brand new shoes for our first Disney trip, so we'd have nice clean shoes in our vacation photos. Seemed like a great idea! Ohhhhh, but it was such a BAD idea!!! By the end of the first day in MK, my pinkie toe was hurting, at the begining stages of a blister. I don't think to mention anything to my mother, so the following day we hit MGM, spending most of the day in the very very cool honey I shrunk the kids playground.....turns out he's not exhausted - he had a "present" for me which is leaking on my lap - :headache: - I'll be back.

Ok - I'm clean, he's clean, we're all good. Oh the joys of Motherhood! :lmao:

So where were we?? Ahhh yes -tiny blister and very cool playground. So we spend nearly our entire time at MGM playing on the Kodak film slide, the musical grass blades and the leaky garden hose.....so my shoes got wet. This turned my tiny little blister at the beginning of the morning to this gigantic blister. By the next morning - the day we were to go to Epcot - my toe is PURPLE!!! My little pinkie toe nail is falling off! I can barely walk!! My Mom is assuring me that it's just a blister - a very bad blister - but a blister all the same. I'm not so sure. I'm certain my toe is going to fall off, since my nail did. I remember very clearly hobbeling (sp?) down some sidewalk, walking towards the gigantic golf ball, and sobbing because my foot hurt so bad. We finally made it to a first aid station, where we got a pin, some anti-germ cream, gauze to wrap up my toe (I'm allergic to band-aid glue), and some tylonol. I was a happy camper after that - but lesson learned - NO NEW SHOES ON DISNEY TRIPS!!! sigh.....if my mom had only known about the Dis, she would have known that!

Oh... sad thought. They probally don't have the cool Kodak film slide anyomre, do they? Not many people use film anymore - it's mostly digital. My kids wouldn't even know what it was....other than a really cool slide. I felt so old the other day. I was sharing a story with my son about how I would listen to Fraggle Rock songs on my record player. He asked what a record player was. Am I that old???

Love the journals. I can't believe you found the time to do all of that!!! Sorry to hear that the kids are sick. I hope they get better soon.

It's pretty easy to find the time when all 3 kids are sleeping! I hate when they are sick - but it does have a few perks!

This was the design I made for Nathaniel's shirt. I can't wait until September! I call for ADR's tommorow morning!:woohoo:

I love it. He will be soooo excited. I just bought the kids matching luggage at sears. With Mickey's on them. The two of them were over the top, and ready to pack!!!! I told them the only reason I bought them was because they were on sale(which is true). And one day we will need them, but it wasn't now or any where in the near future.

I think I might be too weak for this secret thing!!!!!

You can do it! Keep the secret! I've been keeping this since last June!!!! It's going to be SOOO worth it when the kids find out! I know! My parents DRUGGED ME, and it was all ok, because they took me to Disney!:rotfl: Remember - :ssst:

I'VE MADE MY ADR'S!!!

So, last night I tried to get to bed bright and early so I could get up before the sun came up. Not my time of morning. I made sure I set the alarm, made sure the volume was on, and went to bed. At 12:00, I still couldn't sleep. Dozed off finally, 1:00, I hear my daughter screaming. I run in, and she's terrified of the puppy. We don't have a puppy, so obviously bad dream. She finally calms down, and I bring her into our room. She won't walk, I need to carry her - lest the puppy get her. :confused3 Ok sweetie, into bed, go snuggle with Papa. ok, sigh, need to get to sleep. 2:00 - my bladder has mysteriously shrunk to the size of a chick pea, so I need to go make a bathroom break. 3:30 - Ephraim starts coughing and gagging. Pick him up, pack his back, sit him upright, try to drain the stuff from his nose, finally give him a nebulizer treatment, and get back to bed around 4:15. Go back to sleep and suddenly realize I hear music. I open my eyes, peek at the clock and it's 6:50!:scared1: I slept through my alarm!! By like an hour! Jump out of bed, wake up my husband, because he's usually awake by now - he heard his alarm, shut it off in his sleep and went back to bed. Guess we were both exhausted. Grab my handy dandy trip planning notebook - which thankfully already had my reservation number and credit card waiting to go. Call the number around 5 to - not oopened yet. Great, time for a bathroom break. Make a mad dash in, make a mad dash out, and redial and YES! I'm in!

We go through the whole Are you going to Victoria and Albert's press 2, if not press 1 deal - thought about pressing 2. I doubt there is waiting time over there with those prices! Go through the whole option thing, the voice says it's unusually busy wait time, please be patient.......and then.......silence. Where are the songs? Shmu said there were songs while she was waiting....... 10 seconds - nothing. 20 seconds - nothing. 30 seconds - I panic and hang up. I can't waste precious seconds waiting for nothing. Quickly call again. Go through the menu again. Busy - please be patient.....A WHOLE NEW WORLD! Yes! Thank you thank you shmu! Who knows how long I would have been waiting there for nothing as precious reservations tick by! Ok, whole new world - trying not to break out into song. Beauty and the beast. This is taking long! What if I can't get the coveted CRT, or Le Cellier?????

"Hello, My name is Leah" :cool1: Let the reservation making begin! My plan had been to try and snag Le Cellier first - but lack of sleep mixed with the butterflies in the stomach and the andrenaline pumping clouded my mind. I tried for Cinderella's Royal Table first. Do they have a 2:00 opening??? 2:15! Good enough! I'll take it! Onto Le Cellier! Do you have dinner, between 5 and 6:30? "No." :scared: How about dinner at all? "No.":scared1: How about ANYTHING???? Bingo - Lunch at 2:40.:yay: . I'll take it. Better than nothing! I can always call back and try again. Onto Artist Point. Do they have a 7:00 opening? 7:10 - 2 tables.....booked it because I thought she meant 2TS credits, realized, no 2 tables. I'll try and switch that later. Kona Cafe dinner? yup! good to go! Hollywood and Vine? Woo Hoo! got the latest breakfast at 11:20! LTT? :cheer2: This is going well! Chef Mickey's? "Are you sure you want it that early" she asks. second guess myself for a moment, then decide to not 2nd guess myself - didn't they teach you to always go with the first answer in school? Trail's end? Got it. GFC? "The character breakfast?" Nope, not 1900 park fare, just the Cafe. We're in! At this point I'm feeling guilty that I've got so very many reservations to make. Let's keep on trucking. Next on my list, Bippidy Boppidy Boutique - I need to call a different number for that, right? "No, we can take care of that here!" :woohoo: ok, earliest possible reservation? "ummmm....let's see." Oh no, an ummm let's see answer. Great blew my chance for an early time! Should have asked about this....what was that? 8:00? before the park opens YES!!!!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: THIS WAS THE ONE I WANTED!!! MK location, right? :woohoo: It is! Woo hoo! My princess: will get to be a real princess: for the day! I'm almost done I promise her. Kona for breakfast this time? we're good to go! Crystal palace dinner? :yay: And WCC for our last day?:sad1: Yes! Ok leah THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Ok - so, here's the run down:
Day 1 - Kona Cafe/Dinner/7:00
Day 2 - Le Cellier/Lunch/2:40I've decided to cancel our Le Cellier and instead booked dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse at 5:40.
Day 3 - Hollywood and Vine/Breakfast/11:20
Day 3 -Liberty Tree Tavern/Dinner/5:40
Day 4 - Yak and Yetti - can't call until Sunday
Day 4 - Artist Point/Dinner/7:10 - 2 tables, need to fix this
Day 5 - Chef Mickey's/breakfast/7:00
Day 5 - Trail's End/Dinner/5:35
Day 6 - Grand Floridian Cafe/Breakfast/11
Day 7 - BBB at 8am:yay: (this means we can do Tom Sawer Island like Nathaniel wanted! and maybe he can see the opening ceremony)
Day 7 - CRT/Lunch/2:15
Day 8 - Beaches and cream and Earl of Sandwich - no ressie's needed
Day 9 - Kona Cafe/ breakfast/8:10
Day 9 - Crystal Palace/Dinner/4:00
Day 10 - Whispering Canyon Cafe/Breakfast/9:30

All in all, I think it went well. I'm thinking about keeping the Le Cellier lunch. Might give us a bit more park time AND I can eat in China for dinner before Illuminations. We're getting closer and closer!

Yay, you got everything you wanted!!!!:cool1: Good call on the hang up, I can't tell you how many times I've been faked with being put on "hold".

I have copied and pasted some directions below for the links.
I sent these to someone else asking me through a PM.
I can't take credit in figuring this out.
Randy from my PTR helped me out.

1. Go to page / post you want to refer to.
2. There will be a number in the right hand corner. Ex. # 45
3. Roll your mouse over the number. The arrow pointer should turn into a hand.
4. Then right click with your mouse.
5. A box will open up with several options
6. Click on properties
7. Another box will open up
8. In that box there will be an address of the post. It will start with http://
9. Copy the address (I do this by placing the mouse at the beginning of the address. Then click the left button of the mouse and hold it down while you roll over the address. It will turn blue.)
10. After it is highlighted in blue - on your keyboard hit CTRL and C
11. Then go to where you want to post it.
12, In the post box when you are ready to add the link hit the link button
(It’s a blue circle with something that looks like a paper clip)
13. A box will pop up with some letters highlighted in blue
14. I delete the blue letters and then copy the link there. I do this by hitting the CTRL key and then the V key on the keyboard. If you copied the link correctly form step 9 the address will show up starting with http://
15. Then click ok
16. If you look where it is added on the post, part of it will be highlighted in blue. I click in front of just the blue part and replace all of those letters with CLICK HERE

This should come up with Click Here when you post. When you click on Click Here it should take you to the page you wanted it to.

Your ADR's look fantastic. Our trips seem more real somehow now don't they since we have ressies.:woohoo:

No. I put it there myself. If the tag fairy gets ya, it's in a different color. From what I understand, the tag fairy is the only one that can put color in a tag.

Wow - My eyes must have been going buggy, I could have sworn it was in purple!

Ok, so, Off topic, but I thought I'd share a bit about what's going on i the bathroom and how awesome Jesus is! So, a while back, I picked out the paint colors and the linoleum tile for the bathroom. We got the paint on the wall, and it looks beautiful! I :lovestruc it! My dear wonderful husband is preparing the bathroom floor to lay down the linolium, when I notice that it doesn't match. at all. Not even a tiny little bit. It looked great in the Lowes lighting with 2 tiny paint chips next to it, it even looked great in the bathroom with 2 tiny paint chips next to it.....but not so much now. So I inform my hubby that we need to return it. Then I start talking about how I wish we could to tile on the floor. And he says if the price was right we could, because the bathroom was looking so elegant, linoleum just looks out of place!:woohoo: Ok, we still need to stay around the price range of $30 - $50 for flooring. (itty bitty bathroom) It will limit our selection, but Ok. I just started praying, Lord, if you want us to have tile in the bathroom, then you need to do it. Point me in the direction of the flooring you want us to have. We head up to Lowe's a few days later - I'm armed with my paint chips and piece of bathroom tile. I'm looking at all the floor tile when what do I spy but my bathroom wall tile - AS FLOORING!!!:woohoo: It'll be an exact match! Ken is immediatly sold. Do they have enough. We search and search, but can't seem to find the boxes that it came in. We look on the back and find the product number....and the price. 1.49 per tile. Ok, it's a smidgen over what we were hoping for, but it's doable Ken assures me......if we can only find the rest of the tiles. We track down a lowes person, and he looks up the tile and it turnes out the tile I'm holding is the only one in the store. :guilty: Guess we're not gettting this tile. But wait, Greece (a town about 15 minutes away) has 3,000 left. :cheer2: So up we go to Greece. We find the tile and what do I see but the price - .98 a tile!!!:yay: It's cheeper here! We're packing it on the wagon when I notice a sign "Sale - 10% off all flooring" :cool1: This keeps getting better and better! And then, I notice a little yellow sign mark "clearance - hampton 12x12 tile - .83 a tile!" :woohoo: And the 10% still counted! We got our ceramic tile for cheeper than the linolium!! We went UNDER budget for the flooring! And it is the EXACT MATCH to our bathroom tile! How Awesome!

Tomorrow, I'll have pictures and another trip down memory lane! (well, hopefully tomorrow, but if not tomorrow, then soon!)

Almost got it. I guess I needed to delete all the rest of the link after that? Oh please help me. (not that I have a trip report, but I could since I am going in September too. hahahhaa)

1.) Epcot - We’ll get up this morning and head over to Epcot.
2.) Lunch - Since it’s just a short walk away, and since their ice cream looks SOOOOO good, we’re heading over to Beaches and Cream for lunch. Either we’ll just have ice cream for lunch, or we’ll split 2 meals and 2 ice cream sundays between the 4 of us. (Doubt Ephraim will be doing much eating......except maybe the ice cream!)
3.) Nap time - After lunch, we’ll head home to take a nap because tonight is.......
4.) Cirque du Soliel!!! - :cool1: Wooo hooo!! :cool1: This is my pic of the trip! I have ALWAYS wanted to go to a Cirque du Soliel show, and have kicked myself for not going when they were in the city when I was living on Long Island. I was single and had expendable income then....not so much now. But, now we’re going! I can not wait, and I know the kids will enjoy it! And thankfully, Ephraim has Nathaniel’s disposition, so no need to worry about him being to antsy or loud through the show. We plan on heading to Down Town Disney around 4. This is the only time I won’t be relying on Disney Transportation. We’ll be getting a cab:drive: ...........oh, just thought of something....will I need carseats for the kids if I’m going in a cab? Do they provide carseats? :scratchin I won’t have any with me....ok something to look into. Ok, so we might be relying on Disney Transportation..... I didn’t want to because I heard that the bus is very unreliable going to and from DTD. Anyway, when we get there, we might squeeze in a little shopping/browsing if there is time. We need to be at Cirque at 5:30, so we’ll see.
5.) Dinner - For dinner, we plan to eat at Earl of Sandwich.
6.) Shopping - We plan to do some souvenir shopping now. Especially at World of Disney. I heard they have a Christmas store there too. I’ll more than likely hit that store as well. I know Nathaniel will want to hit the Lego store.

I have to confess as well, I had to start in the middle to see when the baby was born and then just started at the end and am working backwards. Haha Mixed up I guess. I'm glad you got your ADR's...we will be at Cirque de Soleil the same night as it is my sons 17th birthday.

Great report and I just so love the fact that you are doing this as a suprise for the kids. They will always remember that!
