The Wave

You might want to go to the last podcast (Sept 29). Kevin did a review of the restaurant for dinner. You can listen to it on your computer.

We were not impressed the food selection was minimal, quality mediocre and the atmosphere depressing. There are so many other restaurants at Disney this one for us fell way short.

We truly enjoyed the wave....the staff was so wonderful to us from the moment we walked up to the host/hostess...

The host and hostess were both very personable--very welcoming...made sure to give us our anniverary buttons--and made sure we wore them! :rotfl:

They seated us right away--even though we were a bit early....our server Renee was equally hospitable. Treated us to the champagne toast in honor of our anniversary and gave us very good menu recommendations.

She suggested the organic beer flight which was wonderful...we'll do that again!

Boyfriend had the pork--but it's no longer on the menu...but it was wonderful. there's a new pork entree which sounds equally delicious.

I had the braised lamb shank--this was the best lamb i've ever had...it was fork tender. the bulgur wheat-lentil stew was very good...but i think my boyfriend liked it much more than me...he finished off his entree and then moved on to mine! there wasn't a bit of food left!

for dessert he had the crispy/crunchy trio...very very good--the baklava was my favorite of this...

for my dessert...they let me mix it up a bit...i had the Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel Sauce, No-Sugar Vanilla Bean Créme Brulée (this was our server's recommendation--FANTASTIC), and Almond-Pineapple-Raisin "Baklava"...so good!....and our server even brought me out a small bowl of the Pecan-Olive Brittle because she said i just had to try it!

great service combined with delicious food is why we are returning for our 1st dinner in DW this trip. :goodvibes

My fav meal on our last trip in Dec. So yummy and yes, I felt like I was in a signature restaurant. We're going back next trip and I can't wait. Our server wasn't fast, but she wasn't super slow either. I think we've just got into the habit of being rushed by wait staff all the time that we're not used to things taking time. I loved that I was able to relax and enjoy my meal without being rushed.
