We were big fans of the Concourse Steakhouse and were sad when they demolished it. The replacement restraunt is The Wave on the first floor of CR. Has anyone been to the Wave for dinner? How does it compare to the old Concourse Steakhouse?

We've eaten at the wave for dinner - not sure how it compares to the old concourse steakhouse, but we thought it was ok. Food was good, but a little overpriced for the quality. Atmosphere/environment was nothing special. It's one of those where you leave, look at the total check after you get home, and wonder why you didn't spend the money on something a little more memorable like Cali Grill.

It doesn't compare at all to the Concourse Steak House. We really miss this restaurant also. We ate at the Wave last week and while it was ok, I wouldn't eat there again. If you aren't on the dining plan the prices are high and the portions aren't that big. The Wave prides itself on healthier eating.

This is what I was afraid of. We loved having dinner in the Concourse Steakhouse. The location and atmosphere was great. Kids would get a real kick out of watching the monorail come through while we were eating. Thanks. We probably won't eat at The Wave. We walked by it on our last stay, but it really didn't stand out and could never replace the Concourse Steakhouse.

Never been to the Concourse but I can tell you we have been to the Wave for dinner twice and both times the service, atmopshere and the food were fantastic! Would not hesitate to eat there again

Like other pps have said, it doesn't compare to the Concourse Steakhouse, sadly... We just ate here this past week and were disappointed with it. I must admit that my expectations were probably a little high since I've heard good things about it. These are just my opinions: we thought the atmosphere was cool, we liked the decor, although was much noisier and a held a higher occupancy than I thought. Our food was just ok, although my DD has allergies and the chef was very accomodating. Her meal was the best, she had pasta with fresh tomato sauce. The bread was delicious and fresh, but the other meals left a lot to be desired. The desserts look better than they taste, not bad, just ok. The service, however was pretty bad, very slow and we felt like everything was an inconvenience to our server.
I'm glad we tried it, but for the money, I would go with California Grill instead.

I have to agree with the others that The Wave does not compare to the Concourse Steak Restaurant. We went to The Wave last month. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I had to send my steak back three times. The chef apparently does not know how to cook "medium rare". The service was so slow, the food was not right in taste, and it was freezing in there. Too dark for my dining experience. I would skip this place.

We ate there last month at it was our least favourite meal of the nine we had on our trip. Service was slow, entrees were okay, dessert was disappointing and the atmosphere was nothing special.

We ate at The Wave last week and had mixed reviews. My mom, who is an extremely picky eater, couldn't really find anything on the dinner menu to order and ended up eating a bowl of tomato soup. I had the fish of the day (salmon) and it was excellent. Dh had the flat iron steak which he enjoyed, but it was accompanied with a watercress salad that he hated (he described it as trying to eat grass clippings). Two of my kids got the chicken strips and they both did not like them. The dessert was OK, but not great. Our server was nice, but very slow. It appeared she was overwhelmed by the number of tables she had and the kids quickly became bored and restless during the meal. I think she was really trying to get to us as often as she could, but by the end of the meal we were just ready to leave as soon as we could get out.

The Wave is definitely not on our "must do" list.

The Wave is also located on the first floor so no view of the monorail.

Not table service, but what about trying the contempo cafe (counter service)? It's located on the concourse level and their menu looks interesting.

My DH & I ate there Sept.19 & liked it . He had the pasta with shrimp & red sauce & I had the pork tenderloin. We preferred the Wave to the Concourse Steakhouse. The trouble with the Concourse was not the food it was the location. Right next door to Chef Mickey's which made for an incredibly loud atmosphere. not good when trying to enjoy an adult dinner.
