Hi all,
Just curious if The Wave of American Flavors in Contemporary is any good. We are trying to book reservations and we are within the 180 days, so good ones are HARD to come by. I can always seem to find space for a family of 5 at The Wave... good luck, or is there a reason it's never full?

We tried The Wave of American Flavors on our least trip and really liked it a lot. I would recommend giving it a try. It seemed to be a good value on the DDP also.

We tried it for dinner 1 time and have an ADR for March. It was one of the best meals we had last time and from the reviews, it is still good.

Very good underrated meal IMO. Had a great meal last trip, I would give it a try for sure.

We ate there earlier this month for the 2nd time and it was excellent. The food was beautifully presented, tasted wonderful and the service was great! All 4 at our table had something different and everyone was very pleased! Enjoy....

Tried it for lunch in August and it was wonderful! Great food, great service. Can't wait to go again. I think one of the reasons it doesn't get the love here is there's no over the top theming, no characters, no gimmicks of any kind. It's very quiet, peaceful. But the atmosphere really isn't anything special. Still, if you're looking for a quiet break from the craziness of the parks and want a really good meal, I'd definitely recommend it!

I loved the Wave! Delicious food, friendly service, and a nice and peaceful atmosphere to eat at. It's a great place to eat at.

this is great to hear! we just booked a lunch here because we want something near MK before MVMCP. it sounds yummy, and we had no problem booking with short notice. can't wait to try the wave!

We enjoy it as well and dine there for dinner to take a break when MK is open late. The service is very good, the menu has lots of nice options and if you like chicken and brussel sprouts, the Ashley Farms chicken breast with huckleberry sauce is one of the best entrees I have EVER eaten at WDW.

I was wondering the same thing! I made an ADR for before our Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise and was a little nervous. I was happy to read all the replies, especially #7.

if you have the dining plan, go for an early dinner! the dinner menu is way better! do a 5pm seating and you'll get in with plenty of time!!!

the Wave is seriously the most underrated restaurant on disney property

I don't know if it's a seasonal item or how exactly their menu works, but I had quite possibly the single best meal I've ever eaten at the Wave: lamb chops. Unbelievably delicious. I was on a DDP, so I was afforded the opportunity to eat one of the pricier items on the menu and I am glad I did!!

Surprisingly one of the best WDW meals we've had (& we have been to a lot)! The staff went above and beyond were awesome with our kids! The food was delicious - my kids over the rainbow bread grilled cheese! ENJOY!!!

I celebrated Mom's 75th Birthday at The Wave and we both loved it. Thinking about doing our Mid-Day break on MK as Lunch at the Wave. Also, debating Be Our Guest in case Mom wants to do more attractions after Lunch.

Totally agree with the other posters. It is extremely under-rated. I loved our meal there in 2014 when we went for dinner. It was great and the menu had a variety of options! They were also very accommodating to my gluten free needs.

I also don't understand why it's so easy to get in there, but let's just count our blessings. A very nice meal, a reasonable price. Fresh and healthy options. Enjoy.

But guys, let's keep this under our hats. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh. (there are so few hidden gems left at WDW).

I can't say it enough, most underrated restaurant out there. Breakfast is awesome, lunch, they have some of the best burgers on property and dinner. Oh mylanta, it's the best! Try the potato gnocchi before it goes away!!
