The war coverage is the problem. My heart aches for the people over there. I had a BIL who served in Desert Storm and have heard his stories. But 24hr a day coverage on every tv channel. This is ridiculous. And they bring in anybody who can comment and they drone on and on and on about their opinions. These new commentators are the very ones who were so anti-war last week. I actually was watching some coverage yesterday where the anchor was critiquing changes in plans, saying to the military type guy, don't you think it's risky for so and so to make such and such change. And he's just an anchor.
Even worst, I think this must be awful if you have a loved one over there. Then you probably can't stop watching. Can you imagine if something really bad unfolds on tv, before family members have been notified. I think updates during the news, with important bulletins, and maybe one special program a day would be more then sufficient coverage. If I want more I can tune to CNN. Towards the end of yesterday, I would only put on food tv.
