Okay I just started watching The Waltons this past summer on TV Land. I have to say I think this is one of the best shows ever. Growing up you couldn't pay me to watch it, now everyday I can't wait to see the next episode. I really love this show and I'm wondering who else does.

ok, I'll admit it, I used to love that show. I stopped watching it towards the end, though, missed the last few seasons.

The Waltons is a really nice show. Surprised that no one mentioned that John Ritter was on it as the preacher for at least a season.

Every single Thursday night, for as long as it ran, I watched the Waltons. As soon as I got on the bus the next morning, I'd sit next to my best friend and we'd talk about it. The next best thing to the Walton's was Little House on the Prairie, never missed that either. It was just the best family viewing on tv ever :D .

I have always LOVED "The Waltons", and watch the re-runs every chance I get. I have a few episodes on VHS but wish they would put ALL the seasons on DVD. I have their original Christmas album, and copied it over onto cassette and listen to it quite a bit during the holiday season, and I have their newer Christmas CD and enjoy that almost as much. And I have to watch "The Homecoming" at least once or twice every holiday season too, which "started it all" for the TV series. Even though the parts of the mother and father and grandfather are played by different people I still enjoy it. I wish there were "family shows" like that on television today.

We used to always watch it...
Along with Little House on the Prairie...
2 of my favorite TV shows..:)

I watched every single episode with my dad during reruns..

Walton Mountain is an amazing place to visit

It was allways hard for me to get past that thing on John Boys face

I love The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. I used to watch them all the time. I also used to watch a show called Grizzly Adams (I think that was the name). Does anybody remember that one? I can just barely remember it but it was about a man who lived in the mountains and he had a bear for a pet.

Yes, I remember Grizzly Adams. My parents watched that when I was a kid. :D
I loved reading everyones reply's to The Waltons. My mom has seen all the episodes and I call her everyday to ask what's going to happen next. I can't wait to see the next episode. (I also read the last page of a book before I finish the first few chapters. I just can't resist.) :D

That would be awesome if the whole series came out on a DVD. It would take days to watch it though.

Pop Daddy, you know JohnBoy was your favorite, especially the way he wore his pants up real high.

I saw one day at BAM an episode guide for the Waltons. I enjoy the later episodes now where the war breaks out. One of my favorites is the Pearl Harbor episode and when Grandpa died I remember crying for the longest time. I think I saw where season 1 is coming out on DVD.

John-Boy... Good night Jim-Bob.

Most of the John Ritter specials I saw had clips of him on the Walton's. TVLand re-ran the episode where he got drunk on the sister's "recipe" on their daylong memorial.

We watched it growing up and I still love it today...particularly the earlier episodes. After Richard left it wasn't the same. Still it was a quality show with great characters.

Grew up watching it...loved it then...love it now. :)

I absolutely love "The Waltons". "The Homecoming" is one of my favorite movies, as is "The Children's Carol". If the first season comes out on DVD, I'm going to be one of the first to buy it.

Funny that I always watched this show and loved it - and then I married into the family! (DH is also named John, but don't call him John-boy! :) )

I watch the Waltons in reruns whenever I have the chance to veg for a while. I would have hated it when I was a teenager but now I enjoy it. I love the Grandpa.

I loved the show as well.

When are the reruns on, and what station? I'd love to catch some of the episodes again!
