Thing are going to get - Emotionally rough and emotionally painful. OK - seems it already has.

So was the crazy lady's zombie husband in that bag? It seemed a little small. Maybe just parts of him (gross).

And what the heck was wrong with that kid? Coughing = death?! Tuberculosis?

Love Michonne! Guess she's out to find the Gov. Old feelings die hard, eh?

I wonder if the kid and pig died from the same thing?

Speculating, but the virus that turned most of humanity into walkers mingled with the swine flu and now it's contagious. That's terrifying to think about! We know such things happen (viruses get together and make something worse than before). But it seems highly likely.

Finding tge governor in all of georgia seems a bit unlikely... i do love michonne tho ;)
Now the fact i had zombie dreams all nite is disturbing :( lol

I assumed it was just part of the husband in that bag also, head, or head and torso maybe? The bag looked bigger the second time they showed it. yuck! Poor woman, I can't even imagine what I would ever do in that position.

I love Daryls hair LOL. Pookie!!!! :upsidedow

I am thinking the virus is mutating. They kept showing the one walker at the fence, and his eyes looked VERY different from all the other walkers. Not sure exactly what it's doing, but it's changing and now it's more dangerous. It appeared to be mroe than the flu that kid had, since his feet were leaving bloody footsteps and his face had blood all over it after he died. Very interesting!
When he died my dd yells "no Phineas" LOL, she was so happy to have Phineas there, and then just like that, he's gone.

I love to see how they have been living, trying to be somewhat normal. Carl reading comic books, Carol and Daryl joking, romances budding. Carl grew so much!! Michonne actually laughing!!!

I am wondering if Daryl's shaking Patrick's hand was significant. Did Daryl get Patrick sick, or is Daryl now going to get sick? If Daryl was the one to get Patrick sick, what was he doing with Violet that made her sick, too? ;)

It's odd how I was able to peg from the beginning who was going to die in the episode just by their goofiness quotient. As soon as Zach started getting all googly with Beth, I thought he was a goner. And Patrick was way too goofy for words, the second he called Carl "sir" I knew he was done for.

What was with Beth hugging Daryl? Even he was like, "Get away from me." And why did they pick HIM to tell Beth the news? I mean, because he's so GOOD with words and feelings.

And all I could think during that Big Spot scene was, 'all that beautiful alcohol!' I can't believe that with the world crashing down around them, no one would have thought to get drunk. I would've.

Did anyone watch Talking Dead right afterwards? They said that this episode was really just building up characters and their relationships, and that it's going to get really intense from here on out. They seems to be implying that the virus has mutated to something much stronger. I haven't read the comics so I have no idea how this will play out.
And they kept saying that there were more and more walkers coming to the fences. What was that supposed to mean?

Wow, not much talk on this? Came back to this forum just for this thread.

Speculating, but if you haven't watched yet, don't read this....

How many of you thought, they talk now with Clara in the woods? I certainly did for a moment.

Speculating, say goodbye to Carl, definitely gone soon. With the emphasis on Hersh bringing up the kid in the woods and the talk of Carl not killing the walker that took Dale, etc, Rick left Clara in the woods after she killed herself without giving a headshot. I'm calling mid-season finally Clara getting to Carl to set up Rick's mental demise for 2nd half of the season. Talking Dead mentioned that Clara will be back.

Good call I'd say. They showed Carol cooking up some barbeque, showed the sick pig, show the pig dead, and then the kid just dies for no apparent reason. I'd say pretty good theory there. Then again, now just reading about the episode, the web speculates about the water, which I forgot they also speculated on the Talking Dead about Patrick (now I know the kid's name) hovering over the water. Also talk on the web of walkers buried or laying on the ground, contaminating the ground, grass grows in contaminated ground, livestock eats the grass and gets contaminated, people eat contaminated livestock and there you go.

Or, the flies and bugs all over the dead animals they were showing while Rick was checking the traps.

Fantastic episode, every detail you had to pay attention to in order to be set up for future episodes from Clara, the sick kid, the dead pig, Carl and Rick talking, and Beth's emotionless response to her "boyfriend" being killed.

So much shown in this episode.

Oooh, didn't even think about Daryls handshake. Yikes! That scene was hilarious though, licking his fingers before shaking. Only Daryl.

I also thought "they talk now??" when she spoke in the woods! Especially when we saw how grey and ashy her skin was. Do we know for sure that Rick didn't shoot her? They cut to him walking away, leaving it pretty unclear I thought.

I hate to think it's going to be some kind of pig virus, as that has already been done in the movie Contagion, but it does seem linked to the pig. Hopefully it's some other virus that poor Violet just happened to catch.

I couldn't believe they weren't taking the alcohol either LOL, but I suppose they really can't get drunk, since they have to be alert and ready to fight at any given moment.

I enjoyed this episode because it seemed to be setting for a lot of future activity. It is concerning that there will apparently be an outbreak of something soon.

.

And how did she survive out there for so long?

The walker Rick kept looking at was bleeding from the eyes. So was Patrick, when he died. I think that walker at the fence is one of the first to be infected by the "super virus".

And why didn't Hershel, the vet, look at the pig?

I thought it was really good. I never thought about Daryl being the host of the virus!! He licked his fingers, then shook Patricks hand. Hmmmmm Maybe he was eating pork?? Don't know, but I also thought of the water being contaminated when Patrick coughed into it, now they may loose people. Maybe the core group is immune for some reason? I assume they are all eating the same food and nobody really washes or disinfects so I would think a virus would spread like wildfire. Now there is a walker on the loose inside!

I saw a preview for next week. Wow. Looks good.
