The Walking Dead on AMC

The Talking Dead interview with Andrea was really good last night. If I had been watching live I would have called in and screamed why didn't you take the bleeping truck!!!!!

Ohhhhhhh, I think you and the hubby are onto something. When the Gov pulled up in his truck, Martinez told him that him the pit was set on fire, the Gov was panting, like he was out of breath. He was also panting when he spoke to Sasha and Tyrese. He kinda staggered in. We only saw him from the waist up during that scene, there were even objects in view keeping his bottom half covered on screen. When he was outside, the camera shot him from a wide angle, we saw him pull his jacket closed tight. Milton walked up to him asking him if he was alright..."Never been better" oh yeah, he got bit or scratched. Poor Andrea is a sitting duck! The twitter hashtag #PrayForAndrea

Isn't it Prey? Because she was the Governor's Prey? That was the title of the episode, anyway.

I don't think he got bit or scratched-- I think he was just knocked out from the confrontation with those walkers and Andrea. We are just not lucky enough to have him die at the hands of a walker, and in such a mundane way. He needs to have a BIG exit... with like, Rick beheading him while shouting "Give me Liberty or Give me Death!" and setting off fireworks or something.

I do think that Merle will take Michonne to the Governor during the next episode as part of a plan to kill the Governor and redeem himself to the prison group, the Governor will kill him, and he will come back a walker. I can't wait for this, because I need more Daryl action, and this is setting up for some GOOOOOOOD Daryl scenes.

And hopefully it will be a better episode than these last two. Because I found them boring.

Milton has NO poker face. The Gov had 2 chances to attack Milton yesterday but he walked away...I guess he's picking his battles. Last nights show was awesome. It hit me the moment Andrea saw the prison that she wouldn't get her happy ending. I also guessed that the Gov would put Andrea in his dungeon. Milton is the only other person who knows about the room, so hopefully he will figure it out.

I had watched on my DVR, so when it came out of the commercial break and I saw on the timer (I was forwarding the commercials) that there were still about 6 minutes left when Andrea found the prison, I just said out loud, "Oh, she is so never going to get to that prison..."

And I still screamed out loud when the Governor turned up.

If you go back and watch the final scene where the Govenor returns to Woodbury, and when he questions Tyrese and talks to Milton. He's very obvious about keeping something on his mid section covered with his coat.

My husband noticed it first, and once you notice it, it's very obviouis. I don't think he made it through the zombie mob unscathed, I think he was bit/scratched and he's trying to keep it covered as long as possible. He knows the amount of time he has to torture Andrea is limited.

Yeah, I thought he might be bitten too. Originally, I thought Andrea might have been bitten from those walkers she ran into in the woods, and it would her just getting to the prison to warn Rick before she turned...but obviously that's not what happened. Yikes. :scared:

Ooooh, very good call!!! The next two weeks I bet are going to be very intense. And yes, it would be Easter Sunday.
I hope someone stops the torture though, cuz I really don't want to watch that.

I don't want to see that either! I'm the same way. I love horror movies, but I hate that torture stuff. :crazy2:

And that episode was demented last night. I kept waiting for Michael Myers to turn up in the warehouse somewhere.

LOL, of course he would take the keys, because he does know that Andrea is that sneaky.

But at this point in the zombie apocalypse, after months and months of living off of whatever you can scavenge, shouldn't hot wiring a car be a rather basic skill? :confused3

I don't think the Governor got out of that walker encounter unscathed. And that's only going to make him even more dangerous, even before he changes. He has to know that Milton (or Martinez? but I really think Milton... Martinez is too much the soldier to destroy a "weapon") set the fire. There's no way Tyreese could get a truck and extra fuel and get out without calling attention to himself, but Milton could.

In there any way in which Michonne's 2 dead 'pets' (who were barely human to begin with, as she said) could possibly tie in to the Governor somehow? I got the feeling that reason we saw that flashback scene of Michonne (not) answering Andrea's question about the two walkers in yesterday's episode was because it was somehow going to eventually tie in with something the Governor did in the past, before the season ends (even if Michonne isn't aware that the Governor was involved).

Just a thought. Otherwise, it seems as if they could have shown us that scene another time.

Also, since the description of this coming Sunday's episode says something about a "possible truce with the Governor" having "strings attached," are we to assume that the Governor tells the prison group that he will not kill Andrea as long as Rick hands over Michonne? So Rick will have to choose between the two women? I mean, the Governor would still try to kill the whole prison group anyway, so I don't know if giving Rick a choice in women would really be that big of a deal. Would it? Would Rick care that much about saving Andrea? I'm just thinking through the possible scenarios and driving myself nuts!:rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2: Love the "Give me Liberty or Give me Death!" ending for the Gov.

I also really like the Merle/Michonne scenario you came up with :thumbsup2

I can't wait to see how this plays out.

I too was yelling for Andrea to go get in the gov's truck. He left the headlights on, you could see them shining up into the windows. She could have at least checked it out to see if the keys were in it. ugghhh! I was hoping someone on the talking dead would ask about it. no go.

I hope they do not show too much torture, I don't want to see that. The first thing that stuck out to me on that table looked like a speculum. My DH was like "and what is that?" :rotfl2: you don't even want to know, dear.

Hahaha....I liked the suggestion on Talking Dead that Beth should kill him while she sings something. :rotfl:

Andrea may have wanted to leave the truck there so that anyone who possibly came looking for the Governor would see the truck and stop at that location, rather than driving straight to the prison (even though they'd end up there anyway). Then they'd be tied up with walkers for a while. I don't know if she thought it through that deeply, but that could have been a motivation.

Otherwise, the only real advantages I saw for Andrea taking the Governor's truck would have been: (A) to get her to the prison faster and run over random walkers blocking the road - if she could get the truck started; and (B) to inconvenience the Governor - in the event he escaped the walkers - by causing him to have to walk to wherever he was going.

Aside from all of that, Andrea would have to know that the Governor would get to the prison with or without wheels if there was even a remote chance for him to escape the mob of walkers that came down the stairs, and he'd get back to Woodbury without wheels too. He is a very determined bad guy (with pasty white skin)!:rotfl2:

Yeah, that was what I saw, I just didn't want to type it. As I cannot even imagine what you will do with that in a torture scene, and certainly not on television! :(:crazy2:

I don't know why Andrea didn't take the truck, but she should have at least flattened the tires. But I guess where's the drama in that?:confused3

I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm starting to like Merle. He likes to read, he was scared for his brother last week, and in the preview he sounded to me like he didn't want to give Michonne up. He told Rick what would happen to her, and that Rick would be cold to let it happen. I think that maybe he's not completely the evil sob that he acts like he is. Some men put on the tough guy act, and do despicable things, in order to fit in. With the abusive father, he learned how to hurt people before they hurt you. In Woodbry, he went along for survival. Maybe in the prison, he's seeing that it doesn't have to be that way.

Or maybe I'm getting suckered! :rotfl: I do know for a fact that Michael Rooker is a heck of an actor!

I suggest that, if you really hate spoilers, stay off any potential spoiler sites right now. There's a big one floating around that I really wish DH hadn't shown me. He said he'd seen it pop up several times on the net. I think it may well be a fake, but just in case...

Yeah, that coupled with the funnel and tube.... don't wanna know

Bears repeating, IMO.

DS13 saw a Spanish website that had still shots posted of episodes 14 -16. He didn't know it was going to have spoilers. He thought it would be reviews or still shots of past episodes. What he saw of Episode 14 was accurate so he is pretty certain that the rest are also accurate.

Thing is, he is absolutely dying to tell us what he saw now. No thanks! I told him no talking about what he saw until after each episode.

They were talking about the governor's "toys" on Talking Dead. There were things to torture someone with as well as things to keep the person alive longer. Forcefeed someone with the tube and funnel (speculum to maybe keep her mouth open without danger of getting his fingers bit off while he's shoving the tube down her throat?)

That guy is also one hell of an actor. Man did he give me the CREEPS when he was laying out those tools.

Honestly, the one thing that really pushed me over the edge and made me break out in goosebumps was that nasty hook needle and thread. That was also mentioned on TD - sew the wounds up so that the prisoner doesn't bleed to death. All designed to keep the person alive longer to be able to extend the torture. :scared: :faint:

I'd be no "fun" to the governor.... I'd absolutely die of a heart attack before he had a chance to do a thing. Does he have a defibrilator someone around there too? :p

I believe these are the same that DH showed me. They did contain pics of episode 14 that were accurate. AMC is ordering sites to take them down but they still keep popping up. Just stay away from all sites where TWD is discussed to be safe. The show should be fun and full of surprises. Speculating is one thing - ruining the suspense is another.
