I love this show! I thought that the zombie was pregnant and that's why Rick stabbed the belly, to kill the zombie "baby". He resents his baby because Lori had to die so he was taking it out on zombie baby?

Also, I was disappointed in Glenn last night. I wish he would step up a little more and be a protector.
Darrel: I've got room for one on my bike.
Glenn : (reluctantly) I will go.
Maggie: no, I'll go.
Glenn: ok, bye!

I can't wait for next week!

In regards to Glen letting Maggie go with Daryl, I think he knew it was something she had to do. She was the one who watched Lori die, she had to face the horrific choice of killing Lori by performing a brutal c-section to save the baby, or let Lori and the baby die by doing nothing. Getting the formula was probably like therapy, something to ease her guilt over Lori's death, even though it was not Maggies fault. In a way, she feels like a protector of the baby since she delivered her.

Maggie even said to Glen, "I have to do this for Lori." At that point, he probably knew there was no talking her out of it. That's my take on it anyway!

That is my take as well. And Maggie is a very strong woman, and I love their relationship. I think he is very much her protector, yet he also sees her as an equal.

Agree on both.

He knows...

He looked at Carl and knew that's why he was crying and laid on the ground.

Um, he could be crying and laying on the ground simply because his wife is dead.

And Carl could be staring out into space because he just saw his mom die.

So I really don't think he knows anything other than that she died.

Lori was in the belly of the zombie. That's why they made a point to show Lori's hair in it's mouth.

Okay, I had forgotten about the skull of the small animal they found in the walker's mouth. But, could a walker really eat a skull of a full grown woman?

It just seems off to me. The Walking Dead writers have always been pretty consistent with the story line and the ZA "reality". It just seems weird we are now supposed to believe that walkers totally consume bodies (bones and all), drag them off like they some sort of intelligence and get so full they can't move? This is totally different behavior than anything suggested by the writers. I can understand if this means, possibly, they are changing walker behavior (like they are adapting or evolving to the environment), but they better explain it in the next few episodes. Otherwise, I am going to think the writers are just going the way of "Lost" and then I am going to have to cry because it will be harder for me to love this show.

I went the walkers and roamers forum to see what they were saying about this episode and a lot of people seem to have some trouble with this episode, too.

Many are also speculating as others have on this thread, that Carol is nursing Lori back to health somewhere in the prison. I hope this isn't the way they decide to go...

Nobody noticed the hair in the zombies mouth. It was mentioned on Talking Dead...I would think something like that would be made obvious to the viewer if they wanted it to mean something.

I don't think Carl killed lori. I don't think the zombie ate lori. I don't think carol or lori is dead. I think the graves are all empty. The Gov is a bad dude for sure. Andrea will come around and realize it. I think for now she's just overwhelmed with the "feeling" of normalcy woodbury offers. Michone is one crazy, zombie killing machine! Love her and I hope she hooks up with the group at the prison.

I cant wait for next week.......and the next week and....... OMG I hope it never ends!!!

Oh and I want to watch it again to see if any of the cut out hand prints in the day care have other names of the people they lost besides Sophia - maybe just a little nod from the producers/staff,

I can see Carol being alive. But if Lori is still alive, and somehow Carol has found her, dragged her away, and is nursing her back to health in some secret area of the prison, I'd consider that a shark-jump for sure. That's beyond ridiculous.

Of course, no more ridiculous than a walker eating someone's skull. Or them writing someone off as dead because they found her head covering.

That is exactly why I don't want them to go that way...I feel the same way.

Oh, and another good point. I think someone may have brought this up? They search for Sophia for WEEKS. Found her doll, and still didn't up searching and hoping.

Yet, they found Carol's scarf and they are ready to call it a day? I mean, they have seen it before and they know she could, possibly, be a walker and they just kind of gave up on her. What about their pact?

.

I also rewatched the episode and noticed that one of the 3 graves is open. Since T-Dog's remains were found, and Daryl left the Cherokee Rose on Carol's (even though I have no idea what they put in there!!) ... the open one must be for Lori. So either the walker hid her bones somewhere, or ate them, and all of that I'm finding really hard to comprehend.

Daryl gave Carol a cherokee rose in the past season.
putting the flower on the grave site gave him closure.

if any one watched talking dead last night, the one director was asked aboat Carol.
he replied we would know after next week's show.
it won't be revealed about carol next week, but the week after.

yea, there was hair on the walkers chin/lower face......the walker that ate Lori.

Talking Dead always does a quick preview of the next week's show.
i won't mention what it was as many prefer to not know the spoilers.

the quick previews go by fast so sometimes i don't catch all of it, but enough to give me an opinion.

lori pleaded with maggie to do the c section for the baby to live.
i believe lori said to make sure the baby lives to maggie.

i'm thinking that this is the main reason that maggie wanted to go with daryl.

Why would Rick stab that zombies belly? I wondered if Carl didnt shoot her and she turned into a walker. I was waiting for her to round the corner as a walker...
Who is on the phone!?!?!? Gotta be within the prison??? I hate the questions lol

Many are also speculating as others have on this thread, that Carol is nursing Lori back to health somewhere in the prison. I hope this isn't the way they decide to go...

I'm not sure the drag marks are meant to be attributed to the walker... What if Carol found Lori and tried to save her? She might have dragged her off to a place that she thought she could secure/protect until help arrived. Then the walkers got to them. Of course, that supposes that Carl didn't really shoot Lori and allows for Carol to possibly still be alive somewhere in the prison. And it doesn't answer the question of graves without bodies.

The creators if the show SAY Lori is in the belly of the zombie!!!! Rick sees her hair in it's mouth and freaks out!

I think Carol is alive though. The "filled" graves are confusing though. I think they are more symbolic. There wasn't much left if T and Lori is nothing but a stew. Maybe they buried some personal belongings?

i got to agree with the halloween queen.

the graves are symbolic to the group.

it is a final way to "honor" their "family" that they have become to each other.

probably one of the civilized ways for them to do in the bizarre world they are trying to survive in now.
burying the dead.

if you read back a page or two in this thread, another poster gave the information about the caller on the phone.

Where are all the baby/children walkers? Did anyone else expect to see some when Daryl and Maggie went to find formula and diapers at that Daycare center? A Daycare and nothing but a possum?

The lack of baby and children walkers is weird through-out the series.

Also, I think Rick lost it when he found that bullet due to him knowing the gun Carl was carrying.

I think the only questionable death is Carol. I have a feeling we'll be seeing her again.

many people thought that Atlanta was a safe place, so they traveled there.

the highway, going in/out, to it was full of deserted cars.

probably the daycare center had no littles in it as families evacuated is my guess why it was so empty.

i wish the original executive producer Frank D and his writers, were not fired.
i really enjoyed the way they wrote the first season and a half.
